Afforestation and Reforestation Activities means the direct human-induced conversion of land that has not been forested for a period of 50 years to forested land through planting, seeding and/or the human0-induced promotion of natural seed sources (Afforestation), or the direct human-induced conversion of non- forested land to forested land through planting, seeding and/or the human-induced promotion of natural seed sources, on land that was has not been forested but that has been convertedsince December 31, 1989 or the relevant date(s) to non forested landbe set by the Parties to the UNFCCC (Reforestation);
