Every chemical, biological, biochemical or related substance for agricultural use must be registered at the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Inputs Control (Departamento de Control de Insumos Agrícolas), and also at the Department of Toxic Substances of the Costa Rican Ministry of Health (Ministerio de Salud, Departamento de Sustancias Tóxicas).
