Company Employees shall have the meaning set forth in Section 6.10(a).
Public employee means an individual holding a position by appointment or employment in the government of this state, in the government of 1 or more of the political subdivisions of this state, in the public school service, in a public or special district, in the service of an authority, commission, or board, or in any other branch of the public service, subject to the following exceptions:
Educational personnel means persons who must meet requirements pursuant to state law as a condition of employment in educational programs.
Qualified personnel means personnel who meet the statutory or regulatory qualifications for each respective profession currently applicable in this state.
Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) means a business concern certified as a DVBE by the Office of Small Business Certification and Resources, Department of General Services.
Women Business Enterprise (WBE) as used in this policy means a business enterprise that meets all of the following criteria:
Management Company Employee means an individual employed by a Person providing management services to the Company which are required for the ongoing successful operation of the business enterprise of the Company, but excluding a Person engaged in Investor Relations Activities;
Dependents means dependents as defined in the Internal Revenue Code and as claimed in the taxpayer's federal income tax return for the taxable year or which the taxpayer would have been permitted to claim had the taxpayer filed a federal income tax return.
Dependent child means a child residing in an individual’s household who may legally be claimed as a dependent on the federal income tax of such individual.
Disabled Business Enterprise means a business owned by a person with a disability that is a continuing, independent, for-profit business that performs a commercially useful function, and is at least fifty-one (51%) owned and controlled by one (1) or more persons with a disability, or, in the case of any publicly-owned business, at least fifty one percent (51%) of the stock of which is owned and controlled by one(1) or more persons with a disability and whose management and daily business operations are under the control of one (1) or more persons with a disability.
