Eligible applicant means a school district, joint
Alternate applicant in case of a minor means the parent/step-parent/court guardian who has made the application on behalf of the minor;
single applicant means an applicant who neither has a partner nor is a lone parent;
Designated Financial Institution shall have the meaning specified in Section 14.12(a).
alternative apparatus means alternative apparatus adequate to enable the utility undertaker in question to fulfil its statutory functions in a manner not less efficient than previously;
Licensed financial institution means a financial institution issued a license under this act.
Alternative program means a non-disciplinary monitoring or practice remediation process approved by a physical therapy licensing board. This includes, but is not limited to, substance abuse issues.
Participating Financial Institution means a Financial Institution that has been approved by the Authority to enroll Qualified Loans in the Program and has agreed to all terms and conditions set forth in the Law and this Article and as may be required by any applicable federal law providing matching funding.
Alternative Benchmark Rate means an alternative benchmark or screen rate which is customarily applied in international debt capital markets transactions for the purposes of determining floating rates of interest (or the relevant component part thereof) in the Specified Currency, provided that all determinations will be made by the Independent Adviser in its reasonable discretion.
Alternative education program means a school or separate class group designed to best serve students’ educational needs and interests and assist students in achieving the academic standards of the district and the state.
Affected Financial Institution means (a) any EEA Financial Institution or (b) any UK Financial Institution.
Alternative school means an environment established apart from the regular educational program and that includes policies and rules, staff, and resources designed to accommodate student needs and to provide a comprehensive education consistent with the student learning goals and content standards established by the school district or by the school districts participating in a consortium. Students attend by choice.
Qualified Financial Institution means, at any time, a financial institution organized under the laws of any jurisdiction in the United States of America or Europe that at such time has outstanding debt obligations with a stated maturity of one year or less from the date of issue and rated A-1 or higher by Standard & Poor’s, a division of The McGraw Hill Companies, Inc., Ratings Group (or any successor) or P-1 or higher by Moody’s Investors Service, Inc. (or any successor) or, in either case, such other comparable rating, if any, then used by such rating agency.
alternative plan means a group RRSP, including the BCTF Plan, which was entered into prior to the coming into force of this Article, and which is still in effect as of that date.
Co-Applicant means an employer or potential employer.
Alternative Financing has the meaning set forth in Section 5.14(b).
regulated financial institution means a state or nationally chartered bank, savings and loan association or savings bank, credit union, trust company, or other state or federally chartered lending institution or a regulated affiliate or regulated subsidiary of any of these entities.

Eligible Financial Institution means, as of the date of any assignment as contemplated in Section 8.07(a)(i), a commercial bank or financial institution (i) with a credit rating on its long-term senior unsecured debt of either (a) “AA-” or better from S&P or (b) “Aa3” or better from Xxxxx’x; and (ii) having shareholders' equity of not less than $5,000,000,000.
Job applicant means a person, independent contractor, or person working for an independent contractor who applies to become an employee of the school district in a position that does not require a commercial driver’s license, and includes a person who has received a job offer made contingent on the person’s passing drug or alcohol testing. Job applicants for positions requiring a commercial driver’s license are governed by the provisions of the school district’s drug and alcohol testing policy relating to school bus drivers (Section III.).
Alternative method means any method of sampling and analyzing for an air pollutant that is not a reference or equivalent method but that has been demonstrated to the satisfaction of the commissioner and the U.S. EPA to, in specific cases, produce results adequate for a determination of compliance.
Nonparticipating Financial Institution means a nonparticipating FFI, as that term is defined in relevant U.S. Treasury Regulations, but does not include a [FATCA Partner] Financial Institution or other Partner Jurisdiction Financial Institution other than a Financial Institution identified as a Nonparticipating Financial Institution pursuant to paragraph 2 of Article 5.
UK Financial Institution means any BRRD Undertaking (as such term is defined under the PRA Rulebook (as amended from time to time) promulgated by the United Kingdom Prudential Regulation Authority) or any person falling within IFPRU 11.6 of the FCA Handbook (as amended from time to time) promulgated by the United Kingdom Financial Conduct Authority, which includes certain credit institutions and investment firms, and certain affiliates of such credit institutions or investment firms.
Alternative Compliance Payment or "ACP" means a payment of a certain dollar amount per megawatt hour, which a Retail Electricity Supplier may submit in lieu of supplying the minimum percentage of RECs required under Section 3.3.4 of this Regulation.
Land use applicant means a property owner, or the property owner's designee, who submits a land use application regarding the property owner's land.
