Appointment status definition

Appointment status means the combination of a Member's rank, appointment type (probationary, continuing or with tenure), accumulated research/study leave credits, salary and, for the purposes of Article 28, effective date of appointment.

Temporary employees serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority and may be removed at any time without cause, notice or any right of appeal. Temporary employees are not eligible for benefits other than those required by state or federal law.

  • Appointee means the person named by you and registered with us in accordance with the Nomination Schedule, who is authorized to receive the Death Benefit under this Policy on the death of the Life Assured while the Nominee is a minor;
