Bends definition

Bends. As-built drawings indicate 5D bends at the Fuels 1 pig launcher and the Fuels 2 pig receiver. Diameters of additional underground bends were not indicated on the drawings but are assumed to be not less than 1.5 D elbows (confirm with gauge plates during cleaning).

  • Bends may be in horizontal plane, vertical plane or in both planes and at angles varying from 11 1/4 ° to 90°.
