BGS definition

BGS shall refer to the State of Maine Bureau of General Services.

BGS means electric generation service that is provided to any customer that has not chosen an electric power supplier, as defined herein, whether or not the customer has received offers for competitive supply options; including, but not limited to, any customer that cannot obtain such service from an electric power supplier for any reason, including non-payment for services. Basic generation service is not a competitive service and shall be fully regulated by the BPU.

The Bureau of General Services (BGS) may disallow award of this contract to any Contractor if there is evidence that the Contractor or any of its Subcontractors, through their own fault, have been terminated, suspended for cause, debarred from bidding, agreed to refrain from bidding as part of a settlement, have defaulted on a contract, or had a contract completed by another party.
The Contractor shall submit insurance certificates to the Owner and BGS at the commencement of this Contract and at policy renewal or revision dates.
The submitted forms shall contain a provision that coverage afforded under the insurance policies will not be canceled or materially changed unless at least ten days prior written notice by registered letter has been given to the Owner and BGS.
The certificates shall identify the project name and BGS project number, and shall name the Owner as certificate holder and as additional insured for general liability and automobile liability coverages.
The Contractor shall ensure that all Subcontractors they engage, or employ will procure and maintain similar insurance in form and amount acceptable to the Owner and BGS.

BGS shall refer to the State of Maine Bureau of General Services. d. The term “Division” shall refer to the State of Maine Division of Purchases.

BGS means basic generation service transition costs, which is defined under the Securitization Act to mean (i) the amount by which (A) the payment by an electric public utility for the procurement of power for basic generation service and related ancillary and administrative costs exceeds (B) the net revenues from the basic generation service charge established by the Board of Public Utilities (the “Board”) for the period from and including August 1, 1999 through and including July 31, 2003 and (ii) interest on such amount at the Board-approved rate that is reflected in a deferred balance account approved by the Board; provided that BGS shall include, but not be limited to, costs of purchases from the spot market, bilateral contracts, contracts with non-utility generators, parting contracts with the purchaser of the electric public utility’s divested generation assets, short-term advance purchases, and financial instruments such as hedging contracts, forward contracts and options.

BGS means the total Net Sales in that financial year derived from sales of wafers (including Net Sales derived from sales of wafers to Agere that are subsequently sold by Agere to CSM or any other person), or the provision of services, by the Company to, or at the direction of, Agere;

BGS means the retail electric generation service provided by PSE&G to its customers in New Jersey in accordance with the New Jersey Electric Discount and Energy Competition Act of 1999, the BPU Order and PSE&Gs BGS tariffs on file with the BPU;

BGS shall have the meaning set forth in the first paragraph of this Agreement.
