Blocking Regulation definition

Blocking Regulation as defined in Section 3.17.
Blocking Regulation means any provision of Council Regulation (EC) No 2271/1996 of 22 November 1996, as amended, (or any law or regulation implementing such Regulation in any member state of the European Union or the United Kingdom) or any similar blocking or anti-boycott law, regulation or statute in force from time to time.

  • None of the covenants given in this Section 7.07 shall be made to any Lender incorporated in or organized under the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany to the extent that they would result in a violation of or conflict with the German Foreign Trade Regulation (Außenwirtschaftsverordnung), council regulation (EC) No 2271/1996 (EU Blocking Regulation) or any similar applicable anti-boycott law or regulation.

  • None of the covenants given in Section 6.04(c) shall be made to any Lender incorporated in or organized under the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany to the extent that they would result in a violation of or conflict with the German Foreign Trade Regulation (Außenwirtschaftsverordnung), council regulation (EC) No 2271/1996 (EU Blocking Regulation) or any similar applicable anti-boycott law or regulation.

  • None of the representations and warranties given in this Section 4.14 shall be made to any Lender incorporated in or organized under the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany to the extent that they would result in a violation of or conflict with the German Foreign Trade Regulation (Außenwirtschaftsverordnung), council regulation (EC) No 2271/1996 (EU Blocking Regulation) or any similar applicable anti-boycott law or regulation.

  • Any provision of the foregoing shall not apply if and to the extent it is illegal, invalid or unenforceable as a result of any applicable Blocking Regulation and, in such case, the legality, validity and enforceability of the foregoing shall not otherwise be affected.

  • The above representation shall not apply if and to the extent it is or would be unenforceable by reason of a breach of any provision of (i) Council Regulation (EC) No. 2271/1996 (the “Blocking Regulation”), or any similar anti-boycott laws or regulations, as amended from time to time, or (ii) the Blocking Regulation as it forms part of UK domestic law by virtue of the EUWA or any other similar blocking law or regulation in the United Kingdom.

Blocking Regulation has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 3.13.
Blocking Regulation. Regulation (EU) No 2271/96 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 November 1996 protecting against the effects of the extraterritorial application of legislation adopted by a third country, and actions based on or resulting therefrom.
