Child care and development programs definition

Child care and development programs means those programs that offer a full range of services for children from infancy to 13 years of age, for any part of a day, by a public or private agency, in centers and family child care homes. These programs include, but are not limited to, all of the following:

Child care and development programs means those programs that offer a full range of services for children who are 10 years of age or younger, for children with exceptional needs as defined in subdivision (l), for children 12 years of age or younger who are recipients of child protective services or at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation as described in subparagraph (D) of paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of Section 8263 and as defined in subdivision (k), for children 12 years of age or younger who are provided services during nontraditional hours as defined in subdivision (al), for children 12 years of age or younger who are homeless as described in subparagraph (C) of paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of Section 8263, and for children who are 11 and 12 years of age, as funding permits, pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 8447, for any part of a day, by a public or private agency, in centers and family child care homes.
