Common Stream definition

Common Stream as herein used means Crude Petroleum moved through the pipeline and pipeline facilities which is commingled or intermixed with other Crude Petroleum.
Common Stream means Crude moved through the Operator’s System and System facilities, which is commingled or intermixed with other Crude.
Common Stream means Crude Petroleum, Tendered or Received at the Joint Tariff Facilities and associated facilities as designated in the related tariffs and moved through Joint Tariff Facilities, which is commingled or intermixed with other Crude Petroleum of like characteristics and quality. A Common Stream may be made up of one or more Tenders of Crude Petroleum provided that each Tender of Crude Petroleum meets the quality specifications, as set out in Rule 22. Common Streams and characteristics of each shall be determined by Carrier in its sole discretion.

Examples of Common Stream in a sentence

  • No Crude Petroleum will be accepted unless its gravity, viscosity, and other properties are such that it will be readily susceptible to transportation through Carrier’s System, and it will not adversely affect the quality of Crude Petroleum from other Shippers or damage the Common Stream or Carrier’s System.

  • After a shipment has had time to arrive at the destination and on 24 hours’ notice to Shipper or Consignee, Carrier may begin delivery of such shipment from its Common Stream to Shipper or Consignee at Carrier’s current rate of pumping.

  • When receipts from and/or deliveries to a connecting facility of substantially the same grade of Crude Petroleum are scheduled at the same interconnection or at interconnections along the same pipeline system, Carrier reserves the right, with cooperation of the connecting facility, to offset like volumes of such Common Stream Crude Petroleum in order to avoid capacity constraints or the unnecessary use of energy which would be required to physically pump the offsetting volumes.

  • When this right is exercised, Carrier will make the further deliveries for Shipper involved from its Common Stream Crude Petroleum.

  • Failure to desist or failure to cooperate in ending such practices shall result in that Shipper being barred from shipping in the Upstream Common Stream where such abuses occurred.
