Compensation or other benefits definition

Compensation or other benefits means any monetary or non-monetary gain including without limitation, salary, fringe benefits, gratuities and bonuses received by owners, officers, directors, trustees, partners, managerial employees, or other executive level employees.

Examples of Compensation or other benefits in a sentence

  • The Contractor understands that neither VEIC nor the State will provide Contractor or Contractor’s employees or subcontractors with any individual retirement benefits, group life insurance, group health and dental insurance, vacation and sick leave, Workers’ Compensation or other benefits or services available to VEIC employees, nor will VEIC withhold any state or federal taxes except as required under applicable tax laws, which shall be determined in advance of execution of this Contract.

  • Fringe Benefits – Compensation or other benefits provided by the employer to the employee at no charge that is above and beyond salary or wages.

  • Injury or death due to willful intention or intoxication Compensation or other benefits are not allowed for the injury or death of an employee when it is proved that the injury or death was occasioned by the employee's willful intention to bring about the injury or death of the employee or of another, or that the injury or death resulted from the employee's intoxication while on duty.

  • The university will not deduct Social Security taxes, income tax, Workmen's Compensation, or other benefits from the fee.

  • An employee injured in the line of duty in an occurrence unique to law enforcement shall receive full pay (base hourly rate of pay times FTE) for the first ninety (90) days, minus any Worker's Compensation or other benefits paid to the employee, and after said ninety (90) days may utilize their accumulated sick leave and vacation leave to supplement other compensation up to an equivalent of full pay (base hourly rate of pay times FTE) in accordance with County policy.

  • Clawback Eligible Incentive Compensation means all Incentive-based Compensation Received by an Executive Officer (i) on or after the effective date of the applicable Nasdaq rules, (ii) after beginning service as an Executive Officer, (iii) who served as an Executive Officer at any time during the applicable performance period relating to any Incentive-based Compensation (whether or not such Executive Officer is serving at the time the Erroneously Awarded Compensation is required to be repaid to the Company), (iv) while the Company has a class of securities listed on a national securities exchange or a national securities association, and (v) during the applicable Clawback Period (as defined below).

  • Special compensation means payment to an adult foster care facility to ensure the provision of a specialized program in addition to the basic payment for adult foster care. Special compensation does not include payment received directly from the Medicaid program for personal care services for a resident, or payment received under the supplemental security income program.
