Consumer Guarantees Act definition

Consumer Guarantees Act means the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ).
Consumer Guarantees Act. The following provisions apply:

  • As such, We have certain obligations We must adhere to in respect of those suppliers, including protecting them against claimsfrom Our customers (other than those that You have a legal right to make, such as any Consumer Guarantees Act claim) and ensuring rights of access to Our customers’ premises to provide those suppliers with the ability to ensure the safety, security and integrity of the Network (and associated equipment) and other customers on the Network.

  • The Distributor or Lines Company may delay, suspend, interrupt or reduce the supply of Energy to any Point of Connection if an issue arises in relation to that Point of Connection and You acknowledge and agree that, without limiting any rights You may have against any person under the Consumer Guarantees Act, neither We, nor any Distributor has any control over the quality of Natural Gas delivered to You under this Agreement.

  • If the Distributor is required to indemnify the Trader under section 46A of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Distributor must promptly pay the Trader the amounts due under that Act.

  • Despite anything else in this Agreement, the Trader is entitled to be indemnified by the Distributor as set out in section 46A of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
