CONTINGENT DEFERRED SALES CHARGE. Upon a withdrawal of Certificate Value, a Contingent Deferred Sales Charge as set forth on the Contract Schedule may be assessed.
CONTINGENT DEFERRED SALES CHARGE. Means the charge which investors holding Shares of Classes “I2D”, “I2C”, “R2D” or “R2C” may be liable to as described under “Fees and Expenses” and in the relevant Product Annex. No Contingent Deferred Sales Charge will be applicable unless otherwise provided for in the Product Annex;
CONTINGENT DEFERRED SALES CHARGE. Upon a surrender of Contract Value a Contingent Deferred Sales Charge as set forth on the Contract Schedule be assessed. Under certain circumstances, we allow surrenders without the Contingent Deferred Sales Charge as set forth on the Contract Schedule. PROCEEDS PAYABLE ON DEATH DEATH OF CONTRACT OWNER DURING THE ACCUMULATION PERIOD: Upon the death of the Contract Owner, or any Joint Owner, during the Accumulation Period, the death benefit will be paid to the Beneficiary(ies) designated by the Contract Owner. Upon the death of a Joint Owner, the surviving Joint Owner, if any, will be treated as the primary Beneficiary. Any other Beneficiary designation on record at the time of death will be treated as a contingent Beneficiary.

The Contingent Deferred Sales Charge may be waived as set forth on the Contract Schedule under "Free Withdrawal" and "Waiver of Contingent Deferred Sales Charge." CONTINGENT DEFERRED SALES CHARGE. The contingent deferred sales charge for each Purchase Payment is a percentage of the Purchase Payment being liquidated. The charge decreases as the Purchase Payment ages. The aging of a Purchase Payment is measured from the date it is allocated to your Annuity. The charge is shown in the Schedule in the section entitled "Contingent Deferred Sales Charge." The charge is allocated among the allocation options in the same proportion as the withdrawal upon which it is assessed.
CONTINGENT DEFERRED SALES CHARGE. The Contingent Deferred Sales Charge for each Purchase Payment is a percentage of the Purchase Payment being withdrawn. The charge decreases as the Purchase Payment ages. The aging of a Purchase Payment is measured from the date it is allocated to your Annuity. If you make a withdrawal of a Purchase Payment on the day before an anniversary of the date that Purchase Payment was made, we will use the Contingent Deferred Sales Charge percentage that would apply if the withdrawal was made on the following day. The charge percentage is shown in the "Contingent Deferred Sales Charge" section of the Annuity Schedule. The charge is deducted from the Investment Options in the same proportion as the withdrawal upon which it is assessed.
CONTINGENT DEFERRED SALES CHARGE. With respect to any Fund, the contingent deferred sales charges payable, either directly or by withholding from the proceeds of the redemption of the shares of such Fund, by the shareholders of such Fund on any redemption of shares of such Fund in accordance with the Prospectus relating to such Fund and the Rules of Fair Practice.
