Contract Academic Staff definition

Contract Academic Staff. (CAS) means a member of the academic staff so designated in their Official Letter of Appointment who is not a staff member:

  • CASBU designates the Contract Academic Staff Bargaining Unit as described by Appendix A.

  • Teaching Assistants and Contract Academic Staff are not eligible to participate in the University’s pension plan.
