Cost proxy definition

Cost proxy means an average ratio of costs to charges for ancillary charges or per diem for accommodation cost centers used to determine a hospital's cost for the services where the hospital has medicaid claim charges for the ser- vices, but does not report costs in corresponding centers in its medicare cost report.
