Counseling definition

Counseling means one or more consultations as necessary between a state licensed psychiatrist or psychologist and a patient for the purpose of determining that the patient is capable and not suffering from a psychiatric or psychological disorder or depression causing impaired judgment.
Counseling means problem solving and support concerning emotional issues that result from a compensable crime. Counseling is a confidential service provided in person on an individual basis or in a group. Counseling has as a primary purpose to enhance, protect and restore a person’s sense of well-being and social functioning.
