Couple for the purposes of benefits coverage, will be as defined by the individual plan carriers. "Dependent child" for the purposes of benefits coverage, means an unmarried child until the end of the month in which the child attains the age of 19 years of age if the child is mainly dependent on and living with the employee or their spouse. Coverage may be extended to age 25 years where the dependent child is a full-time student. An unmarried child with physical or developmental disabilities will be covered to any age if they are mainly dependent on and living with the employee or their spouse.
Protector means a utility-owned electrical device located in the central office, at a customer’s premises or anywhere along any telephone facilities which protects both the telephone utility’s and the customer’s property and facilities from over-voltage and over-current by shunting such excessive voltage and currents to ground.
Protective apron means an apron made of radiation-attenuating materials used to reduce exposure to radiation.
Attending physician means the physician who has primary responsibility for the care of the patient and treatment of the patient's terminal disease.
member of a couple means a member of a married or unmarried couple;
Duplex means a building comprising, by horizontal division, two dwelling units, each of which has a separate entrance to grade;
Registered dietitian means a person who shall be both:
a) Qualified as specified in Sections 2585 and 2586, Business and Professions Code; and
b) Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
High-technology activity means that term as defined in section 3 of the Michigan economic growth authority act, 1995 PA 24, MCL 207.803.
Natural attenuation means a variety of physical, chemical or biological processes that, under favorable conditions, act without human intervention to reduce the mass, toxicity, mobility, volume, or concentration of hazardous substances in the environment. These in situ processes include: Natural biodegradation; dispersion; dilution; sorption; volatilization; and chemical or biological stabilization, transformation, or destruction of hazardous substances. See WAC 173- 340-370(7) for a description of the expected role of natural attenuation in site cleanup. A cleanup action that includes natural attenuation and conforms to the expectation in WAC 173- 340-370(7) can be considered an active remedial measure.
Asynchronous means not simultaneous or concurrent in time. For the purpose of this general rule, asynchronous telecommunication technologies for telemedicine or telehealth services may include audio and video, audio without video, client or member portal and may include remote monitoring. "Asynchronous" does not include voice messages, facsimile, electronic mail or text messages.¶
Mother plant means a marijuana plant that is grown or maintained for the purpose of generating clones, and that will not be used to produce plant material for sale to a processor or dispensary.
Bathing means washing oneself by sponge bath; or in either a tub or shower, including the task of getting into or out of the tub or shower.
Assistive technology service means any service that directly assists a child with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology device. The term includes:
General anesthesia means a drug-induced loss of consciousness during which patients are not arousable, even by painful stimulation. The ability to independently maintain ventilatory function is often impaired. Patients often require assistance in maintaining a patent airway, and positive pressure ventilation may be required because of depressed spontaneous ventilation or drug-induced depression of neuromuscular function. Cardiovascular function may be impaired.
Attending staff means any person on the staff of a public
Nail technician means any person who for compensation manicures or pedicures natural nails, or who performs artificial nail services for compensation, or any combination thereof.
Utensil means any implement used in the storage, preparation, transportation, or service of food.
Infant means a child under one year of age.
Supervising physician means any physician licensed under Iowa Code chapter 148, 150, or 150A. The supervising physician is responsible for medical direction of emergency medical care personnel when such personnel are providing emergency medical care.
ingredient means any substance, including a food additive used in the manufacture or preparation of food and present in the final product, possibly in a modified form;
Prosthesis means an artificial substitute for a missing body part.
Protective custody means the temporary custody of an individual by a peace officer with or without the individual's consent for the purpose of protecting that individual's health and safety, or the health and safety of the public, and for the purpose of transporting the individual under section 276, 408, or 427 if the individual appears, in the judgment of the peace officer, to be a person requiring treatment or is a person requiring treatment. Protective custody is civil in nature and is not an arrest.
Apprentice electrician means an individual other than an electrical contractor, master electrician, or electrical journeyman, who is engaged in learning about and assisting in the installation or alteration of electrical wiring and equipment under the direct personal supervision of an electrical journeyman or master electrician.
Protective barrier means a barrier of radiation absorbing material(s) used to reduce radiation exposure. The types of protective barriers are as follows:
Diatomaceous earth filtration means a process resulting in substantial particulate removal in which (1) a precoat cake of diatomaceous earth filter media is deposited on a support membrane (septum), and (2) while the water is filtered by passing through the cake on the septum, additional filter media known as body feed is continuously added to the feed water to maintain the permeability of the filter cake.
Physiotherapist means a health care professional who is registered in the part of the register maintained by the Health Professions Council under article 5 of the Health and Social Work Professions Order 2001 (establishment and maintenance of register) relating to physiotherapists and:
