CPI-U definition

CPI-U means the consumer price index for urban consumers for the San Francisco- Oakland-San Jose metropolitan statistical area, as determined by the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.
CPI-U means the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers, (all items), published by the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) (1982-84 equal 100), U.S. Cities Average, or, in the event said index ceases to be published, by any successor index recommended as a substitute therefor by the United States Government or a comparable, nonpartisan substitute reasonably designated by Lessor. If the BLS changes the base reference period for the Price Index from 1982- 84=100, the CPI-U Percentage Increase shall be determined with the use of such conversion formula or table as may be published by the BLS.
CPI-U means the average Consumer Price Index For All Urban Consumers published by the United States Department of Labor. If the CPI-U is changed or discontinued or we will use a similar index upon approval by the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission. We will notify you of any change in the index before we use it. Calendar Year means a year measured inclusively from January 1 to December 31.

  • For example, if the US CPI-U for the preceding calendar year is 1.5%, the price adjustment for the current year shall be 3.5%.
