Day of Confinement definition

Day of Confinement means each continuous twenty-four (24) hour period that the Insured Person is Confined in a Hospital as a Resident In-Patient.
Day of Confinement means the number of days the Insured Person being charged for the room during hospitalization.
Day of Confinement means a period of a full twenty-four (24) hours during a Period of Confinement. The first Day of Confinement shall commence at the time of admission to the Licensed Hospital and each subsequent Day of Confinement shall commence twenty-four (24) hours after the commencement of the previous Day of Confinement. In the event of the time of discharge of the Person Covered from Licensed Hospital being more than six (6) hours, but less than twenty-four (24) hours from the later of:

Examples of Day of Confinement in a sentence

  • The daily benefit amount shall be paid for each Day of Confinement from the third day of Confinement and up to a maximum of the relevant Benefit amount specified in the Certificate of Insurance, and for this purpose, every Day of Confinement as a result of the same event (Bodily Injury or Sickness) shall be counted towards the total number of Days of Confinement, notwithstanding that such Days do not run consecutively.

  • In all circumstances, we will pay no more than one Daily Hospital Benefit for each Day of Confinement.

  • II at 270, 276-77.2 The policy provides that it will “pay a benefit for each Day of Confinement, after the Policy Elimination Period, while you are confined in a Nursing Home during a Covered Period of Confinement.” App.

  • Benefits under this section and the section “Intensive Care Unit Benefit” shall not be available to the Covered Member, but benefits under the section “Surgical Benefit” shall continue, if applicable.In all circumstances, We will pay no more than one Applicable Daily Hospital Benefit for each Day of Confinement for each Covered Member.No additions or changes to the Covered Members shall be allowed.

  • If during the period of insurance You sustain an Injury or suffer from a Sickness which requires You to be Confined in the Hospital’s Intensive Care unit, and provided such Confinement commences while this Policy is in effect, We will pay You an additional Daily Cash Benefit as stated in the Schedule for each Day of Confinement in an Intensive Care unit up to the maximum number of days stated in the Schedule.

  • The benefit payable for each Day of Confinement of the Insured for Sickness or Injury covered by this Policy which amount is stated in the Policy Schedule.

  • While this Policy is in force and during the lifetime of the Insured, if the Insured is Confined in a Hospital for Medically Necessary treatment of a Covered Injury or Covered Illness, we will pay the Daily Hospital Benefit for each Day of Confinement in the Hospital but not exceeding ninety (90) days for any one Covered Injury or Covered Illness in respect of the Same Confinement.

  • Two joints could have failed as the result of a double spin-off or a combination of spin-off and twist-off, allowing 150 metres of string to drop into the BOP.

  • The amount of the benefit is equal to 100% of the Daily Maximum Amount for the Hospital Indemnity Benefit per Inpatient Day of Confinement due to that Injury.

  • Only one benefit is provided for any one Day of Confinement, regardless of the number of Injuries for which the confinement is required.


More Definitions of Day of Confinement

Day of Confinement means a day of "hospital" confinement as an "inpatient".
Day of Confinement means each continuous 24-hour period that an Insured Person is confined as a Resident Inpatient in Hospital for a minimum of 24 hours.
Day of Confinement means an in-patient confinement in a Hospital for a period of not less than 24 hours continuously and for which charges for daily room and board are incurred.

A beneficiary may also roll over his or her Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account to a new beneficiary who is a member of his or her family so long as the recipient has not attained age 30.

  • stacked townhouse means a building, other than a townhouse or apartment building, containing at least 3 dwelling units, each dwelling unit being separated from the other vertically and/or horizontally, and each dwelling unit having an entrance to grade shared with no more than 3 other units;

In counting children for the purposes of this definition, any children under six years of age who are related to a licensee, administrator or employee and who are on the premises of the center shall be counted.

  • Demilitarization means rendering a product unusable for, and not restorable to, the purpose for which it was designed or is customarily used.

  • Adult day care center means any facility that is either operated for profit or that desires licensure

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation or "CPR" means artificial ventilation or external chest compression applied to a person who is unresponsive and not breathing.

  • Day Care Centre means any institution established for day care treatment of illness and/or injuries or a medical setup with a hospital and which has been registered with the local authorities, wherever applicable, and is under supervision of a registered and qualified medical practitioner and must comply with all minimum criterion as under -

  • Congenital Condition(s) means (a) any medical, physical or mental abnormalities existed at the time of or before birth, whether or not being manifested, diagnosed or known at birth; or (b) any neo-natal abnormalities developed within six (6) months of birth.

  • Ambulatory means the condition of a person who immediately and without aid of another is physically or mentally capable of traveling a normal path to safety, including the ascent and descent of stairs.

  • Adult abuse means the willful infliction of physical pain, injury or mental anguish or unreasonable

  • Nonambulatory means the condition of a person who immediately and without the aid of another person is not physically or mentally capable of traveling a normal path to safety, including the ascent and descent of stairs.

  • Physical therapist assistant means an individual who is licensed/certified by a state and who assists the physical therapist in selected components of physical therapy.

  • Physiotherapist means a health care professional who is registered in the part of the register maintained by the Health Professions Council under article 5 of the Health and Social Work Professions Order 2001 (establishment and maintenance of register) relating to physiotherapists and:

  • Potential Enrollee means a Medical Assistance Recipient who may voluntarily elect to enroll in a given managed care program, but is not yet an Enrollee of an MCO.

  • Behavioral violation means a student’s behavior that violates the district’s discipline policies.

  • Pet Ambulance means a Pet medical transportation service vehicle equipped with stretchers, hydraulic tables, oxygen and a driver and/or veterinary technician.

  • Rostered Day Off means a day where an employee is not rostered to work other than an Accrued Day Off.
