Department land definition

Department land means an area of land that is owned by the state, that is under the jurisdiction of the department and that is used for one of the purposes specified in s. 23.09 (2) (d).
Department land means land under the ownership of the department within the ceded territory where the department has authority to manage and harvest timber and other forest products on the land.
Department land means land acquired by the department in fee title, or with an easement on former managed forest land on or after October 27, 2007, with stewardship program funds under s. 23.0917, stats.
