Designated Contract definition

Designated Contract means, for each commodity eligible to be represented in theBloomberg Commodity IndexSM and for each Unhedged Individual Commodity Index, the futures contract series which is used for the calculation of those indices, as set out in Part 3 (The Bloomberg Commodity Index Family) in Table 2a (Designated Contracts and Designated Month Contracts), in the column headed “Designated Contract and (Exchange Code)”
Designated Contract means, with respect to a Commodity, the futures contract selected as the reference contract from which price and trading volume data for the Commodity will be obtained to calculate the Index. The Designated Contracts, and the futures exchanges on which they trade, are identified in Section 2.2 of the Methodology.
