Under the terms of an agreement between the Secretary of State and the Academy Trust the Diocesan Trustees will give the Academy Trust not less than two years’ notice to terminate the occupation of the land and buildings.

Having considered the fact that the Trust occupies the land and buildings by a licence that transfers to the Trust no rights or control over the site save that of occupying it at the will of the Diocesan Trustees under the agreement, the Diocesan Trustees have concluded that the value of the land and buildings occupied by the Trust will not be recognised or valued within fixed assets.
Our conclusionIn view of the significant support for the proposal, but also mindful of the sensitivities which have emerged in the consultation process, the Diocesan Trustees have decided to go forward to the next stage in the statutory process, known as the Representation stage, by publishing this statutory Public Notice.
