Disrupting the Educational Process definition

Disrupting the Educational Process means behavior that materially or substantially disrupts the educational process, whether on school property or at school-sponsored events and activities such behavior shall not be tolerated and shall subject the offending pupil to appropriate disciplinary action.Students may be disciplined for conduct that occurred outside of the school that may endanger the health or safety of pupils within the educational system or adversely affect the educational process. Behavior which disrupts the educational process shall include, but not be limited to:• Conduct which threatens the health, safety, or welfare of others;• Conduct which may damage public or private property, including property of students or staff;• Illegal activity;• Conduct that materially or substantially interferes with another student’s access to educational opportunities or programs, including the ability to attend, participate in and benefit from instructional and extracurricular activities, or• Conduct that materially or substantially disrupts the delivery of instructional services or interferes with the orderly administration of the school and school-related activities or district operations.
