Elected Councillor definition

Elected Councillor means a person who is elected to the council and is serving a current term as an elected councillor, but for clarity does not include a president or past-president if not elected pursuant to sub-section 7(d) of the Act or a person who is appointed to fill a vacancy created by an elected councillor ceasing to hold such position.
Elected Councillor means a member of a local council elected under paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of section 4;
Elected Councillor means a member of the Council elected by the Members or appointed to fill a casual vacancy.

  • The Independent Members shall be co-opted non-voting members of the Standards Committee, and it shall be chaired by an Elected Councillor.

  • An Elected Councillor who is no longer a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador shall resign from Council.
