Environmental Manual definition

Environmental Manual means the manual referred to in Section 3.07 of this Agreement;
Environmental Manual manual referred to in Section 3.07 of the Original Loan Agreement, as the same has been, or may be, amended from time to time with the agreement of the Bank.
Environmental Manual means the Borrower’s manual (acceptable to the Bank) dated December 29, 2005 set forth in the Implementation Letter, which manual includes, inter alia, environmental mitigation measures to be followed by contractors during the carrying out of the works under Subprojects, as the same may be amended from time to time with the agreement of the Bank;

  • These requirements must be met in accordance with instructions set forth in the HOME Manual and Environmental Manual.

Environmental Manual means Manual Operacional da Gestão Ambiental do Setor Rodoviário, the Borrower’s manual, issued in November 1998, which establishes the norms and procedures for prevention, reduction or mitigation of the environmental impacts of road projects in the Borrower’s territory, including the design, construction, operation and maintenance of roads by the Borrower;
Environmental Manual means the manual for contractors to be approved by the Bank for use in the Project in accordance with the provisions of Section 3.06(a) of this Agreement;
Environmental Manual means the environmental manual for Project implementation dated November 2000, including the rules and procedures applicable to: (i) road contractors and works sites for the rehabilitation of priority segments of the National Road Network under Part A of the Project; (ii) rapid environmental screening of Subprojects for the rehabilitation of priority segments of the Secondary Road Network under Part B of the Project;

  • Environmental Management Plan or “EMP” means the environmental management plan for the Project, including any update thereto, incorporated in the IEE;

  • Environmental, Health and Safety Laws means the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, each as amended, together with all other laws (including rules, regulations, codes, plans, injunctions, judgments, orders, decrees, rulings, and charges thereunder) of federal, state, local, and foreign governments (and all agencies thereof) concerning pollution or protection of the environment, public health and safety, or employee health and safety, including laws relating to emissions, discharges, releases, or threatened releases of pollutants, contaminants, or chemical, industrial, hazardous, or toxic materials or wastes into ambient air, surface water, ground water, or lands or otherwise relating to the manufacture, processing, distribution, use, treatment, storage, disposal, transport, or handling of pollutants, contaminants, or chemical, industrial, hazardous, or toxic materials or wastes.

  • Environmental Matters means any matter arising out of or relating to health and safety, or pollution or protection of the environment or workplace, including any of the foregoing relating to the presence, use, production, generation, handling, transport, treatment, storage, disposal, distribution, discharge, release, control or cleanup of any Hazardous Substance.

  • Environmental Management Framework or “EMF” means the policy framework for environmental management, approved by the Project Implementing Entity’s Board of Directors on July 21, 2009, which sets forth the environmental policies and procedures that shall apply to the carrying out of the Project.

  • Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements means all federal, state, local and foreign statutes, regulations, ordinances and other provisions having the force or effect of law, all judicial and administrative orders and determinations, all contractual obligations and all common law concerning public health and safety, worker health and safety, and pollution or protection of the environment, including without limitation all those relating to the presence, use, production, generation, handling, transportation, treatment, storage, disposal, distribution, labeling, testing, processing, discharge, release, threatened release, control, or cleanup of any hazardous materials, substances or wastes, chemical substances or mixtures, pesticides, pollutants, contaminants, toxic chemicals, petroleum products or byproducts, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls, noise or radiation, each as amended and as now or hereafter in effect.

  • Environmental Hazard means any substance the presence, use, transport, abandonment or disposal of which (i) requires investigation, remediation, compensation, fine or penalty under any Applicable Law (including, without limitation, the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act, Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act, Resource Conservation Recovery Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act and provisions with similar purposes in applicable foreign, state and local jurisdictions) or (ii) poses risks to human health, safety or the environment (including, without limitation, indoor, outdoor or orbital space environments) and is regulated under any Applicable Law.

  • Environmental Regulations means any federal, state or local law, statute, code, ordinance, regulation, requirement or rule relating to dangerous, toxic or hazardous pollutants, Hazardous Substances or chemical waste, materials or substances.

  • Environmental Affiliate means any agent or employee of any Borrower or any other Relevant Party or any person having a contractual relationship with any Borrower or any other Relevant Party in connection with any Relevant Ship or its operation or the carriage of cargo and/or passengers thereon and/or the provision of goods and/or services on or from any Relevant Ship;

  • Environmental Requirement means any Environmental Law, agreement, or restriction, as the same now exists or may be changed, amended, or come into effect in the future, which pertains to health, safety, or the environment, including, but not limited to ground, air, water, or noise pollution, or underground or aboveground tanks.

  • Environmental Reports means each and every “Phase I Environmental Site Assessment” (and, if applicable, “Phase II Environment Site Assessment”) as referred to in the ASTM Standards on Environmental Site Assessments for Commercial Real Estate, E 1527-2000 and an asbestos survey, with respect to each Mortgaged Property, prepared by one or more Environmental Auditors and delivered to Lender and any amendments or supplements thereto delivered to Lender.

  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Environmental Complaint shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4.19(d) hereof.

  • Environmental Requirements means any legal requirement relating to health, safety or the environment and applicable to the Borrower, any Subsidiary or the Properties, including but not limited to any such requirement under CERCLA or similar state legislation and all federal, state and local laws, ordinances, regulations, orders, writs, decrees and common law.

  • Environmental pollution means the contaminating or rendering unclean or impure the air, land or waters of the state, or making the same injurious to public health, harmful for commer- cial or recreational use, or deleterious to fish, bird, animal or plant life.
