NHS body means the Board, an NHS trust, an NHS foundation trust, a Local Health Board, a Health Board, a Health and Social Services Board or a Health and Social Services Trust or, a Health Board or Special Health Board constituted under section 2 of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978;
Crown Body means any department, office or executive agency of the Crown;
Dead body means a lifeless human body or such parts of a human body or the bones thereof from the state of which it reasonably may be concluded that death recently occurred.
approved body means an educational establishment or a body that is not conducted for profit.
Regulatory Body means those government departments and regulatory, statutory and other entities, committees, ombudsmen and bodies which, whether under statute, rules, regulations, codes of practice or otherwise, are entitled to regulate or investigate the matters dealt with in this Agreement or any other affairs of the Provider or the Department, including, without limitation Ofsted, the European Commission and the European Court of Auditors;
Local Body means urban local body with different nomenclature such as municipal corporation, municipality, nagarpalika, nagarnigam, nagarpanchayat, municipal council including notified area committee (NAC) and not limited to or any other local body constituted under the relevant statutes such as gram panchayat, where the management of plastic waste is entrusted to such agency;
supervisory body means a functionary or institution referred to in Schedule 2;
Public body means a devolved public body listed in Schedule 3 of the Ethical Standards in Public Life etc. (Scotland) Act 2000, as amended.
Regional body means the members of the council and the premiers of Ontario and Quebec or their designee as established by the agreement.
licensing body means any body that licenses or regulates any profession;
Central Government Body means a body listed in one of the following sub-categories of the Central Government classification of the Public Sector Classification Guide, as published and amended from time to time by the Office for National Statistics: Government Department; Non-Departmental Public Body or Assembly Sponsored Public Body (advisory, executive, or tribunal); Non-Ministerial Department; or Executive Agency;
Competent Body means any body that has authority to issue standards or recommendations with which either Party must comply Conditions Precedent means the conditions precedent, if any, to commencement of service delivery referred to in clause A3.2 (Commencement and Duration) and set out in Appendix B (Conditions Precedent)
General Body means all the Members of the Bank and includes a body constituted under the provisions of the Act;
Government Body means any domestic or foreign federal, state, municipal or other governmental department, commission, board, bureau, agency or instrumentality, or other body exercising or entitled to exercise any administrative, executive, judicial, legislative, police, regulatory or taxing authority or power of any nature.
Hearing Body or “Hearing Panel” means any person or persons authorized by the University Vice President for Student Affairs, Community College Dean of Students or Charter Oak State College Provost to determine whether a student has violated the Code and to impose sanctions as warranted, including a hearing officer or hearing board.
EMEA means the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products, or any successor agency thereto.
management body means a management body as defined in Article 4(1)(36) of Directive 2014/65/EU;
Contracting Body means the Department for Work and Pensions and any contracting body described in the OJEU Notice
Sponsoring Body means a body being a charitable or a not-for-profit Society or Trust or Company under Section 8 of Companies Act 2013 making an application for declaring an institution under its administrative, academic and financial control as a Deemed to be University.
Official Body means any national, federal, state, local or other government or political subdivision or any agency, authority, bureau, central bank, commission, department or instrumentality of any of the foregoing, or any court, tribunal, grand jury or arbitrator, in each case whether foreign or domestic.
notified body means a conformity assessment body designated in accordance with this Regulation;
Subsidiary body means every internal organizational structure or body established in this Constitution other than the Convention and its Committees, the Executive Board and its Committees, and the Executive Committee.
relevant body in the context of the UK and the UK GDPR, means the UK Information Commissioner’s Office and/or UK Government (as and where applicable); and/or in the context of the EEA and EU GDPR, means the European Commission.
Sanctioning body means the American motorcycle association (AMA); auto racing club of America (ARCA); championship auto racing teams (CART); grand American road racing association (GRAND AM); Indy racing league (IRL); national association for stock car auto racing (NASCAR); national hot rod association (NHRA); professional sports car racing (PSR); sports car club of America (SCCA); United States auto club (USAC); Michigan state promoters association; or any successor organization or any other nationally or internationally recognized governing body of motorsports that establishes an annual schedule of motorsports events and grants rights to conduct the events, that has established and administers rules and regulations governing all participants involved in the events and all persons conducting the events, and that requires certain liability assurances, including insurance.
Advisory Body means any board, commission, committee, council, or authority, however selected, whose total budget, appropriations, or authorized expenditures constitute less than 1 percent of the budget of each agency it serves or $100,000, whichever is less, and whose powers, jurisdiction, and authority are solely advisory and do not include the final determination or adjudication of any personal or property rights, duties, or obligations, other than those relating to its internal operations.
EMA means the European Medicines Agency or any successor agency thereto.
