Faculty Graduate Studies Committee definition

Faculty Graduate Studies Committee means committee established at the faculty to supervise the Graduate Study Programme chaired by the Dean of the relevant faculty.
Faculty Graduate Studies Committee. – means the Faculty Committee responsible for the admission, enrolment, candidature and examination of Higher Degree by Research candidates and which makes recommendations to the Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research Training during the period of the candidate’s enrolment.

Examples of Faculty Graduate Studies Committee in a sentence

  • At least six weeks prior to the expiry of the year of registration, a research student – regardless of whether s/he is completing a research report, a dissertation or a thesis – is allowed to apply to the Faculty Graduate Studies Committee for a one-month extension.

  • Students are encouraged to consult their student representatives about the course and criminology centre (eg core course, options, tutors, administration, supervision) and consult the representatives for the Law Faculty Graduate Studies Committee about any problems related to the law faculty more widely (for example, database support, the law library, and other facilities).

  • If the Faculty Graduate Studies Committee or Board of the Faculty decides that substantial revisions to the thesis are required, then the candidate will be liable for a re-examination fee, as per A.33.3.3 of these Standing Orders.

  • The Head of School or Postgraduate Co-ordinator will consult the Supervisor before formally nominates him or her for appointment as Supervisor by the Faculty Graduate Studies Committee.

  • The current structure of the bodies in charge of graduate studies at AUB is not optimized (Faculty Graduate Studies Committee, Graduate Council, Board of Graduate Studies, Task Force on Graduate Studies).

  • It shall be sent to the Faculty Graduate Studies Committee for information.The Supervisory Committee is responsible for helping the student develop a program of study leading to a degree and reporting on the progress of the student’s work.

  • Hearing Committee means the committee appointed pursuant to this Plan to hear a request for an evidentiary hearing that has been properly filed and pursued by a practitioner.

  • OPSI Advisory Committee means the committee established under Tariff, Attachment M, section III.G.

  • District Evaluation Advisory Committee means a group created to oversee and guide the planning and implementation of the Board of Education's evaluation policies and procedures as set forth in N.J.A.C. 6A:10-2.3.

  • Medical Advisory Committee means the Medical Advisory Committee established by the Board as required by the Public Hospitals Act;

  • Ethics Committee means an independent body established in a Member State in accordance with the law of that Member State and empowered to give opinions for the purposes of this Regulation, taking into account the views of laypersons, in particular patients or patients' organisations;

  • Medical Executive Committee or “MEC” means the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff.

  • Review Committee or “Committee” means a committee established pursuant to rule Chapter 67-60, F.A.C.

  • JPC means Joint Planning Committee.

  • Operating Committee means the Operating Committee of Epoch which meets frequently and is responsible for implementing the Company’s strategy, making operational decisions and overseeing the day-to-day running of the Company.

  • Professional Conduct Committee means the professional conduct committee established by the Council in terms of section 12(2)(b);

  • Procurement Committee means a Committee constituted by the Employer to perform the functions as such under the terms and conditions of Contract.
