Failed Satellite definition

Failed Satellite or "Satellite Failure" means a satellite on which one or more of the basic subsystems fail, rendering the satellite Commercially Unusable or on which more than twelve (12) transponders are Transponder Failures.

Failed Satellite or "Satellite Failure" means a satellite: (1) on which one or more of the basic subsystems fail, rendering the use of the satellite for its intended purposes impractical, as determined by GE Americom in its reasonable business judgment, or on which more than one-half of the transponders are transponder failures, and (2) that GE Americom has declared a failure. For purposes of this definition, a hybrid satellite with both C-band and Ku-band payloads shall be treated, at GE Americom's option, either (i) as a single satellite or (ii) as though the C-band and Ku-band payloads were located on separate satellites.

  • Satellite means any satellite owned by the Issuer or any of its Restricted Subsidiaries and any satellite purchased by the Issuer or any of its Restricted Subsidiaries pursuant to the terms of a Satellite Purchase Agreement, whether such satellite is in the process of manufacture, has been delivered for launch or is in orbit (whether or not in operational service).

  • Spacecraft (7 9) means active and passive satellites and space probes.

  • Basic generation service or "BGS" means electric generation

  • Launch Vehicle means an object, or any part thereof, intended for launch, launched from Earth, or returning to Earth which carries Payloads or persons, or both.

  • Generator Planned Outage means the scheduled removal from service, in whole or in part, of a generating unit for inspection, maintenance or repair with the approval of the Office of the Interconnection in accordance with the PJM Manuals.

  • Transponder means an access device used to gain entry to the parking facility;

  • Outage has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff.

  • Planned Outage means the removal of equipment from service availability for inspection and/or general overhaul of one or more major equipment groups. To qualify as a Planned Outage, the maintenance (a) must actually be conducted during the Planned Outage, and in Seller’s sole discretion must be of the type that is necessary to reliably maintain the Project, (b) cannot be reasonably conducted during Project operations, and (c) causes the generation level of the Project to be reduced by at least ten percent (10%) of the Contract Capacity.

  • Subproject means a specific activity carried out under Part 1 of the Project, financed or proposed to be financed through a Subproject Loan (as hereinafter defined).

  • Generator Maintenance Outage means the scheduled removal from service, in whole or in part, of a generating unit in order to perform necessary repairs on specific components of the facility, if removal of the facility meets the guidelines specified in the PJM Manuals.

  • Continuous emission monitoring system or "CEMS" means the equipment required under section 11 of this rule to sample, analyze, measure, and provide, by means of readings recorded at least once every fifteen (15) minutes, using an automated data acquisition and handling system (DAHS), a permanent record of nitrogen oxides emissions, stack gas volumetric flow rate, stack gas moisture content, and oxygen or carbon dioxide concentration, as applicable, in a manner consistent with 40 CFR 75*. The following systems are the principal types of continuous emission monitoring systems required under section 11 of this rule:

  • Satellite services means communications capabilities that utilize an on-orbit satellite for transmitting the signal from one location to another.

  • Service Switching Point (SSP) is a telephone central office switch equipped with a Signaling System 7 (SS7) interface.

  • Terminals means the Terminals set forth on Schedule A attached hereto.
