Satellite Failure definition

Satellite Failure means a satellite:
Satellite Failure means the total destruction, failure or loss of the Nimiq 5 Satellite during the Term hereof, ***
Satellite Failure means a satellite on which one or more of the basic subsystems fail, rendering the satellite Commercially Unusable or on which more than twelve (12) transponders are Transponder Failures.

Examples of Satellite Failure in a sentence

  • Force Majeure will include any war, civil commotion, strike, Satellite Jamming, Satellite Failure, lockout, accident, epidemic or any other event of any nature or kind whatsoever beyond the control of the parties herein that directly or indirectly hinders or prevents either of the parties from commencing or proceeding with the consummation of the transactions contemplated hereby.

  • If the discontinuance or suspension of operation is permanent, then, if the discontinuance applies to the entire Satellite, it shall be treated as a Satellite Failure for purposes of Section 2.C, and if the discontinuance applies to particular Channels, it shall be treated as a Partial Loss for purposes of Section 2.C. SES Americom shall give Customer as much notice as practical under the circumstances of any such discontinuance or suspension.

  • Whiskers” Caused Satellite Failure: Galaxy IV Outage Blamed on Interstellar Phenomenon.

  • SES Americom will refund to Customer any MRC paid for periods subsequent to the date of a Satellite Failure, including the period between and including the date of the Satellite Failure and the date upon which it is determined that a Satellite Failure has occurred.

  • When Tc is large (Tc = 8min in Figure 19), the delay difference of SGRP from the optimal value grows rapidly under link congestion.4.6.3.2 Effect of Satellite Failure SGRP introduces a reaction mechanism against satellite failures and link congestion.

More Definitions of Satellite Failure

Satellite Failure means (i) a Satellite that has a service life that, at any point in time, is predicted to be less than six (6) years, including the number of years that have already occurred since the date of completion of in-orbit testing or (ii) a Satellite that, at any point in time, has fewer than fifty percent 50% of its EIRP specified in Exhibit B.
Satellite Failure means the failure of one or more of the basic subsystems on the Satellite, or any other event, rendering the Satellite commercially unusable.
Satellite Failure means a satellite that SES has declared a failure for purposes of the applicable Agreement. For purposes of this definition, a hybrid satellite with multiple frequency band payloads will be treated either as a single satellite or as though the frequency band payloads were located on separate satellites, at SES’s sole discretion.
Satellite Failure means a Satellite (I) that, at the completion of the In-Orbit Testing, is determined to have a Service Life of fewer than six (6) years or (ii) that, at any point in time, has fewer than fifty percent (50%) of its transponders which meet the criteria of the Performance Specification.
Satellite Failure means a satellite (1) on which one or more of the basic subsystems fail, rendering the use of the satellite for its intended purposes impractical, as determined by SES Americom in its reasonable business judgment, or on which more than one-half of the transponders on the payload are transponder failures, and (2) that SES Americom has declared a failure. For purposes of this definition, a hybrid satellite with both C-band and Ku-band payloads shall be treated, at SES Americom's option, either (i) as a single satellite, or (ii) as though the C-band and Ku-band payloads were located on separate satellites.
Satellite Failure means that, at any time after the Commencement Date, (A)(i) fewer than _______________ of the transponders on Orion 3 are performing pursuant to their technical specifications, or (ii) Orion 3 can no longer be maintained in its North/South and East/West orbit with tolerances of _____ degrees, and (B) Orion, by notice to DACOM, has declared Orion 3 to be a failure;
Satellite Failure and "Transponder Failure" also may be defined in the contract for the manufacture or insurance of Orion 3. Orion shall notify DACOM of the final satellite manufacturing contract or insurance contract and shall provide a copy of the foregoing definitions therefrom to DACOM. The Parties will confer and determine which, if any such definitions are to be included, by amendment, to this Agreement.
