State Other Tax means any Tax imposed by any State of the United States (or by any political subdivision of any such State) or the District of Columbia, or any city or municipality located therein, other than any State Income Taxes, and any interest, penalties, additions to tax, or additional amounts in respect of the foregoing.
Other Tax means any Federal Other Tax, State Other Tax, or Foreign Other Tax.
Other Taxes means all present or future stamp or documentary taxes or any other excise or property taxes, charges or similar levies arising from any payment made hereunder or under any other Loan Document or from the execution, delivery or enforcement of, or otherwise with respect to, this Agreement or any other Loan Document.
Federal law means the Statute of Canada entitled “The Cannabis Act” and any other Canadian federal legislation regulating cannabis.
State Income Tax means any Tax imposed by any State of the United States (or by any political subdivision of any such State) or the District of Columbia, or any city or municipality located therein, which is imposed on or measured by net income, including state and local franchise or similar Taxes measured by net income, and any interest, penalties, additions to tax, or additional amounts in respect of the foregoing.
Relief Act The Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940, as amended.
Federal Tax means any Tax imposed under Subtitle A of the Code.
Federal poverty level means the poverty level as defined by the most recently revised poverty income guidelines published by the United States Department of Health and Human Services in the Federal Register.
Further Taxes means any and all present or future taxes, levies, assessments, imposts, duties, deductions, fees, withholdings or similar charges (including, without limitation, net income taxes and franchise taxes), and all liabilities with respect thereto, imposed by any jurisdiction on account of amounts payable or paid pursuant to Section 4.01.
After-imposed tax means any new or increased tax or duty, or tax that was exempted or excluded on the contract date but whose exemption was later revoked or reduced during the contract period, other than excepted tax, on the transactions or property covered by this contract that the Contractor is required to pay or bear as the result of legislative, judicial, or administrative action taking effect after the contract date.
Federal Power Act means the Federal Power Act, as amended, 16 U.S.C. §§ 791a, et seq.
Requirements of Laws means any foreign, federal, state and local laws, statutes, regulations, rules, codes or ordinances enacted, adopted, issued or promulgated by any Governmental Body (including, without limitation, those pertaining to electrical, building, zoning, environmental and occupational safety and health requirements) or common law.
Civil Relief Act The Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940, as amended.
Seller Taxes has the meaning set forth in Section 11.1(f).
FATCA Withholding Tax means any U.S. federal withholding tax imposed or collected pursuant to Sections 1471 through 1474 of the Code, any current or future regulations or official interpretations thereof, any agreement entered into pursuant to Section 1471(b) of the Code, or any fiscal or regulatory legislation, rules or practices adopted pursuant to any intergovernmental agreement entered into in connection with the implementation of such Sections of the Code.
foreign tax means any Foreign Income Taxes or Foreign Other Taxes.
Federal Bankruptcy Code means the Bankruptcy Act of Title 11 of the United States Code, as amended from time to time.
Swiss Federal Tax Administration means the tax authorities referred to in article 34 of the Swiss Withholding Tax Act.
After-imposed Federal tax means any new or increased Federal excise tax or duty, or tax that was exempted or excluded on the contract date but whose exemption was later revoked or reduced during the contract period, on the transactions or property covered by this contract that the Contractor is required to pay or bear as the result of legislative, judicial, or administrative action taking effect after the contract date. It does not include social security tax or other employment taxes.
FATCA Withholding means any withholding or deduction required pursuant to an agreement described in section 1471(b) of the Code, or otherwise imposed pursuant to sections 1471 through 1474 of the Code, any regulations or agreements thereunder, any official interpretations thereof, or any law implementing an intergovernmental approach thereto.
State law means the unemployment insurance law of any state, approved by the United States secretary of labor under section 3304 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.
FATCA means Sections 1471 through 1474 of the Code, as of the date of this Agreement (or any amended or successor version that is substantively comparable and not materially more onerous to comply with), any current or future regulations or official interpretations thereof and any agreements entered into pursuant to Section 1471(b)(1) of the Code.
Foreign taxes means value-added taxes and custom duties assessed by a foreign government on a commodity. It does not include foreign sales taxes.
Servicemember means a member of a uniformed service.
Tax Law means the law of any governmental entity or political subdivision thereof relating to any Tax.
New jobs credit from withholding means the credit as provided in Iowa Code section 260E.5.
