Financial investments means (a) Cash; (b) direct general obligations or guaranteed obligations of the United States or agencies thereof; (c) certificates of deposit; (d) repurchase obligations; (e) commercial paper; (f) money market funds; (g) Dominion Debt Obligations unless a Dominion Debt Obligation Repayment Event has occurred.
Financial investments means, without limitation, investments in stocks, stock options, bonds, and alternative asset classes (including, but not limited to, real estate, commodities, and other debt obligations); and
Financial investments means investments in government securities, shares and stocks, deposits in institutions licensed under the Banking Act and other licensed SACCO societies.

All the Liquid Investments described in clauses (a) through (d) above shall have maturities of not more than 365 days from the date of issue.

  • Investment Capital Expenditures means capital expenditures other than Maintenance Capital Expenditures and Expansion Capital Expenditures.

  • Equity Investment means (i) an Equity Security; and (ii) an ownership interest in any company or other entity, any membership interest that includes a voting right in any company or other entity, any interest in real estate; and any investment or transaction which in substance falls into any of these categories even though it may be structured as some other form of investment or transaction.

  • Follow-On Investment means (i) with respect to a Regulated Fund, an additional investment in the same issuer in which the Regulated Fund is currently invested; or (ii) with respect to an Affiliated Fund, (X) an additional investment in the same issuer in which the Affiliated Fund and at least one Regulated Fund are currently invested; or (Y) an investment in an issuer in which at least one Regulated Fund is currently invested but in which the Affiliated Fund does not currently have an investment. An investment in an issuer includes, but is not limited to, the exercise of warrants, conversion privileges or other rights to purchase securities of the issuer.

  • Quoted Investments has the meaning set forth in Section 5.12(b)(ii)(A).

  • Eligible Investments mean book-entry securities, negotiable instruments or securities represented by instruments in bearer or registered form which evidence:

  • Performing Cash Pay Mezzanine Investments means Mezzanine Investments (a) as to which, at the time of determination, not less than 2/3rds of the interest (including accretions and “pay-in-kind” interest) for the current monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual period (as applicable) is payable in cash and (b) which are Performing.
