Financial Services Businesses definition

Financial Services Businesses means (a) all of the businesses, assets and liabilities of the Corporation and its subsidiaries, other than the businesses, assets and liabilities that are part of the Closed Block Business, and (b) the rights and obligations of the Financial Services Businesses under any inter-Business debt or other transaction deemed to be owed to or by the Financial Services Businesses (as such rights and obligations are defined in accordance with policies established from time to time by the Board of Directors); provided, however, that the Corporation or any of its subsidiaries may re-allocate assets from one Business to the other Business in return for other assets or services rendered by that other Business in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors from time to time.
Financial Services Businesses means any type of business listed in the Schedule to the Criminal Justice (Proceeds of Crime) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1999l,
Financial Services Businesses means the provision of financial services, insurance services, the origination of loan assets, the origination of insurance assets and/or the origination of financial services, and includes acting as a holding company for any Person conducting any of the foregoing activities.

  • Cash flows between the Financial Services Businesses and the Closed Block Business related to administrative expenses are determined by a policy servicing fee arrangement that is based upon insurance and policies in force and statutory cash premiums.

Related to Financial Services Businesses

  • Financial Services Business for purposes of this Unit Agreement shall mean the business of banking, including deposit, credit, trust and investment services, mortgage banking, asset management, and brokerage and investment banking services.

  • Cannabis business means any business activity involving cannabis, including but not limited to cultivating, transporting, distributing, manufacturing, compounding, converting, processing, preparing, storing, packaging, delivering, testing, dispensing, retailing and wholesaling of cannabis, of cannabis products or of ancillary products and accessories, whether or not carried on for gain or profit.

  • Financial Services Provider means any Lender and any other provider of financial services or products;

  • Alarm business means the business by any individual, partnership, corporation, or other entity of selling, leasing, maintaining, servicing, repairing, altering, replacing, moving or installing any alarm system or causing to be sold, leased, maintained, serviced, repaired, altered, replaced, moved or installed any alarm system in or on any building, structure or facility.

  • Telecommunications Business means the business of (i) transmitting, or providing services relating to the transmission of, voice, video or data through owned or leased transmission facilities, (ii) creating, developing or marketing communications related network equipment, software and other devices for use in a Telecommunications Business or (iii) evaluating, participating or pursuing any other activity or opportunity that is primarily related to those identified in (i) or (ii) above; provided that the determination of what constitutes a Telecommunications Business shall be made in good faith by the Board of Directors of the Guarantor.

  • Parent Business has the meaning set forth in the Separation and Distribution Agreement.

  • Businesses means, at any time, a collective reference to the businesses operated by the Borrower and its Subsidiaries at such time.

  • Business operations means engaging in commerce in any form, including by acquiring, developing, maintaining, owning, selling, possessing, leasing, or operating equipment, facilities, personnel, products, services, personal property, real property, or any other apparatus of business or commerce.
