Finding of Public Interest definition

Finding of Public Interest means the finding of public interest with respect to the Project made pursuant to Va. Code Ann. § 33.2-1803.1.
Finding of Public Interest. (FOPI) means the Commissioner’s determination to use Design-Build contracting, based on Objective Criteria previously adopted by the CTB. The finding shall include a description of the nature and scope of the project and the reasons for the Commissioner’s determination that awarding a Design-Build contract will best serve the public interest. The finding may also include anticipated savings such as time, cost, or reduced administrative burdens through expedited delivery; benefits derived from warranties such as improved service life, safety, or quality; preservation of VDOT’s capital assets; or reduction in the risks associated with transportation projects.
Finding of Public Interest means the finding(s) of the public’s interest to enter into this Agreement, as further described in Exhibit C.

  • Public interest means that which is beneficial to the public as a whole, including but not limited to increasing competition among abstractors, encouraging the use of title guaranties throughout the state, making title guaranties more competitive than out-of-state title insurance, increasing the division’s market share, improving the quality of land titles, protecting consumers, and encouraging maximum participation by participating abstractors and participating attorneys physically located in all 99 counties. “Waiver” or “variance” means an action by the division which suspends in whole or in part the requirement of the use of a current tract index described in Iowa Code Supplement section 16.91(5) as

  • Non-Public Information means material non-public information (within the meaning of United States federal, state or other applicable securities laws) with respect to Borrower or its Affiliates or their Securities.

  • Public Information means information that:

  • Intimidating, threatening, abusive, or harming conduct means, but is not limited to, conduct that does the following:

  • Material Non-Public Information means information which is (a) not publicly available, (b) material with respect to Holdings and its Subsidiaries or their respective securities for purposes of United States federal and state securities laws and (c) not of a type that would be publicly disclosed in connection with any issuance by Holdings or any of its Subsidiaries of debt or equity securities issued pursuant to a public offering, a Rule 144A offering or other private placement where assisted by a placement agent.

  • Public Key means the key of a key pair used to verify a digital signature and listed in the Digital Signature Certificate;

  • Solicitation of a romantic relationship means deliberate or repeated acts that can be reasonably interpreted as the solicitation by an educator of a relationship with a student that is romantic in nature. A romantic relationship is often characterized by a strong emotional or sexual attachment and/or patterns of exclusivity, but does not include appropriate educator-student relationships that arise out of legitimate contexts such as familial connections or longtime acquaintance. The following acts, considered in context, may constitute prima facie evidence of the solicitation by an educator of a romantic relationship with a student:

  • Permanent Regulation S Global Note shall have the meaning specified in Section 2.1(d).

  • Project specific information means such part of the Instructions to Consultants used to reflect specific project and assignment conditions.

  • Substantial and Compelling Reason in the Public Interest means a reason that is justified by an important, specific, and articulated public interest goal that is within ICANN's mission and consistent with a balanced application of ICANN's core values as defined in ICANN's Bylaws.

  • IAI Global Note means a Global Note substantially in the form of Exhibit A1 hereto bearing the Global Note Legend and the Private Placement Legend and deposited with or on behalf of and registered in the name of the Depositary or its nominee that will be issued in a denomination equal to the outstanding principal amount of the Notes sold to Institutional Accredited Investors.

  • Registered Global Note means a Global Note, if issued by TCCI, being in the form or substantially in the form set out in Schedule 1 to the TCCI Note Agency Agreement (or in such other form as may be agreed between TCCI, the TCCI Registrar, the TCCI Transfer Agent and the relevant Purchaser(s)), or if issued by TMCC, being in the form or substantially in the form set out in Schedule 1 to the TMCC Note Agency Agreement (or such other form as may be agreed between TMCC, the TMCC Registrar, the TMCC Transfer Agent and the relevant Purchaser(s));

  • Restrictive procedures means the use of physical holding or seclusion of children with disabilities in an emergency. Because the special education director reported the district intends to continue the use of physically holding children with disabilities in an emergency, the district is required to maintain and make publicly accessible a restrictive procedures plan (RPP) for children with disabilities. Minnesota Statute requires that the plan must, at least, list the restrictive procedures the school intends to use; describe how the school will monitor and review the use of restrictive procedures; and include a written description and documentation of the training school personnel completed.

  • Legended Regulation S Global Note means a Global Note in the form of Exhibit A hereto bearing the Global Note Legend and the Private Placement Legend and deposited with or on behalf of and registered in the name of the Depositary or its nominee, issued in a denomination equal to the outstanding principal amount at maturity of the Notes initially sold in reliance on Rule 903 of Regulation S.

  • RMB Non-Transferability means the occurrence of any event that makes it impossible for the Issuer to deliver RMB between accounts inside Hong Kong or from an account inside Hong Kong to an account outside Hong Kong (including where the RMB clearing and settlement system for participating banks in Hong Kong is disrupted or suspended), other than where such impossibility is due solely to the failure of the Issuer to comply with any law, rule or regulation enacted by any Governmental Authority (unless such law, rule or regulation is enacted after the Issue Date of the first Tranche of the relevant Series and it is impossible for the Issuer due to an event beyond its control, to comply with such law, rule or regulation);

  • Regulation S Permanent Global Note means a permanent Global Note in the form of Exhibit A1 hereto bearing the Global Note Legend and the Private Placement Legend and deposited with or on behalf of and registered in the name of the Depositary or its nominee, issued in a denomination equal to the outstanding principal amount of the Regulation S Temporary Global Note upon expiration of the Restricted Period.

  • Deportation or forcible transfer of population means forced displacement of the persons concerned by expulsion or other coercive acts from the area in which they are lawfully present, without grounds permitted under international law;

  • Public Xxxxxx shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 10.01(f).

  • Offshore Global Note means a Global Note representing Notes issued and sold pursuant to Regulation S.

  • Public land means land owned by the federal government, the state, or political subdivisions of the state and land acquired or developed for public recreation pursuant to section 321I.8.

  • U.S. Global Note means a Global Note that bears the Restricted Legend representing Notes issued and sold pursuant to Rule 144A.

  • Responsible public entity means a public entity that has the power to develop or operate the applicable qualifying project.

  • Violent felony means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-3-203.5.
