Food Preparation Establishments definition

Food Preparation Establishments. – shall mean a Class III and Class IV food service establishment as defined by Section 19-13-B42 of the Connecticut Public Health Code or any other facility discharging fats, oils, and grease above the effluent limits in Section 6.3(b) of these regulations such as but not limited to restaurants, hotel kitchens, hospital kitchens, school kitchens, bars, factory cafeterias, retail bakeries and clubs.
Food Preparation Establishments means Class III and Class IV food service establishments and any other facility determined by the WPCA that may discharge FOG above the set limits in Section 5(b)(2) of the Department of Environmental Protection's General Permit for the Discharge of Sewage Associated with Food Preparation Establishments. These facilities Shall include but not be limited to restaurants, hotel kitchens, hospital kitchens, school kitchens, bars, cafeterias, and clubs. Class III and Class IV food service establishments Shall be as defined under Section 19-13-B42 of the State of Connecticut Public Health Code.
Food Preparation Establishments means Class III and IV food service establishments as defined by Section 19-13-B42 of the State of Connecticut Public Health Code or any other facility discharging fats, oil, and grease above the effluent limits in Section 5(c)(2) of this general permit such as but not limited to restaurants, hotel kitchens, hospital kitchens, school kitchens, bars, factory cafeterias and clubs.

  • The purpose of this Regulation is to outline the wastewater pretreatment requirements for the Food Preparation Establishments and other commercial facilities that discharge fats, oils, and grease in their wastewater flow.

  • Food Preparation Establishments shall be subject to inspections by the Town of North Haven WPCA or WPCA approve representative on an annual basis to determine whether the requirement set forth in this Regulation and the General Permit are being met.

  • The wastewater generated from Food Preparation Establishments shall be treated to remove FOG using a FOG pretreatment system.

  • Alternate FOG Pretreatment Systems shall only be allowed upon receipt of the special waiver noted under 8.04.F. Alternate FOG Pretreatment Systems shall only be approved by the WPCA if said system is also approved by the CT DEEP for use as a Grease Recovery Unit (GRU) type FOG Capture system as defined within the CT DEEP’s General Permit for the Discharge of Wastewater Associated with Food Preparation Establishments.

  • In accordance with section 22a-430 of the CGS, the Commissioner issued a public notice of intent to issue the “General Permit for the Discharge of Wastewater Associated with Food Preparation Establishments that Discharge to Sanitary Sewers”.

Food Preparation Establishments. (FPE) shall mean establishments that engage in cooking methods that have the potential to produce fats, oils, and grease including: facilities that are regulated by the local Health District and are classified as a Class III or Class IV Food Service Establishment (FSE), as defined by the State Health Code; or are regulated by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. These facilities include, but are not limited to, restaurants, hotel kitchens, hospitals, school kitchens, bars, factory cafeterias, clubs, prisons, butchers, and commercial bakeries. Residences and Industrial food processing facilities shall not be regulated by this Ordinance.

Related to Food Preparation Establishments

  • Food establishment means an operation that stores, prepares, packages, serves, vends, or otherwise provides food for human consumption and includes a food service operation in a salvage or distressed food operation, school, summer camp, residential service substance abuse treatment facility, halfway house substance abuse treatment facility, correctional facility operated by the department of corrections, the state training school, or the Iowa juvenile home. “Food establishment” does not include the following:

  • Cannabis establishment means a cannabis cultivator, a cannabis manufacturer, a cannabis wholesaler, or a cannabis retailer.

  • Retail food establishment means an operation that sells or offers to sell food directly to a consumer. Retail food establishment includes both a retail grocery and a food service establishment but does not include a food processing plant.

  • educational establishment means any school, college or other educational body designated by the Minister by order either specifically or by reference to a class, for the purposes of this Act;

  • Marijuana establishment means a marijuana cultivation facility, a marijuana testing facility, a marijuana product manufacturing facility, or a retail marijuana store.

  • Food service establishment means a fixed or mobile restaurant, coffee shop, cafeteria, short order cafe, luncheonette, grill, tearoom, sandwich shop, soda fountain, tavern, bar, cocktail lounge, nightclub, drive-in, industrial feeding establishment, private organization serving the public, rental hall, catering kitchen, delicatessen, theater, commissary, food concession, or similar place in which food or drink is prepared for direct consumption through service on the premises or elsewhere, and any other eating or drinking establishment or operation where food is served or provided for the public. Food service establishment does not include any of the following:

  • Commercial establishment means a place of business which is at all times equipped with sufficient tables and seats to accommodate twenty-five persons at one time, and the licensed premises of which conform to the standards and specifications of the division.

  • Retail establishment means any business facility that sells goods directly to the consumer whether for or not for profit, including, but not limited to, retail stores, restaurants, pharmacies, convenience and grocery stores, liquor stores, seasonal and temporary businesses.

  • Marihuana establishment means a marihuana grower, marihuana safety compliance facility, marihuana processor, marihuana microbusiness, marihuana retailer, marihuana secure transporter, or any other type of marihuana-related business licensed by the department.

  • Lodging establishment means any of the following:

  • Temporary food establishment means a food establishment that operates for a period of no more than fourteen consecutive days in conjunction with a single event or celebration.

  • Temporary food service establishment means a food service establishment that operates at a fixed location for a period of time of not more than 14 consecutive days in conjunction with a single event or celebration.

  • Cannabis production establishment agent means a cannabis cultivation facility

  • catering establishment means a restaurant, canteen, club, public house, school, hospital or similar establishment (including a vehicle or a fixed or mobile stall) where, in the course of a business, food is prepared for delivery to the ultimate consumer and is ready for consumption without further preparation;

  • main establishment means: (a) as regards a controller with establishments in more than one Member State, the place of its central administration in the Union, unless the decisions on the purposes and means of the processing of personal data are taken in another establishment of the controller in the Union and the latter establishment has the power to have such decisions implemented, in which case the establishment having taken such decisions is to be considered to be the main establishment; (b) as regards a processor with establishments in more than one Member State, the place of its central administration in the Union, or, if the processor has no central administration in the Union, the establishment of the processor in the Union where the main processing activities in the context of the activities of an establishment of the processor take place to the extent that the processor is subject to specific obligations under this Regulation;

  • Cannabis production establishment agent registration card means a registration card that the department issues that:

  • Establishment Date means the date on which a development area or a local development area is created. If the development area, local development area, development area plan, or local development area plan is modified or amended subsequent to the original establishment date, the modifications or amendments shall not extend the existence of the development area or local development area beyond what would be permitted under KRS 65.7041 to 65.7083 from the original establishment date;

  • Industrial establishment means a workshop or other establishment in which the work of making, altering, repairing, ornamenting, finishing or packing or otherwise treating any, article or substance with a view to its use, sale transport, delivery or disposal is carried on or where any such service is rendered to a customer, and includes such other class or classes of establishments as Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, declare to be industrial establishments for the purposes of this Act, but does not include a factory;

  • fixed establishment means a place (other than the registered place of business) which is characterised by a sufficient degree of permanence and suitable structure in terms of human and technical resources to supply services, or to receive and use services for its own needs;

  • Participating Prosthetic Provider means a Prosthetic Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Adult entertainment establishment means any of the following:

  • Establishment means a single physical location where business is conducted or where services or industrial operations are performed. (For example: A factory, mill, store, hotel, restaurant, movie theatre, farm, ranch, bank, sales office, warehouse, central administrative office or governmental agency or subdivision thereof.) Where employees do not usually work at, or report to, a single establishment, such as harbor workers, traveling salespersons, technicians, engineers, and similar personnel, such notice or notices shall be posted at the location from which the employees operate to carry out their activities. In all cases, such notice or notices shall be posted in accordance with the requirements of subrule 3.1(1).

  • Funeral establishment means that term as defined in section 1801 of the occupational code, 1980 PA 299, MCL 339.1801, and the owners, employees, and agents of the funeral establishment.

  • Date of establishment means July 1, 1962.
