Food Service Establishments definition

Food Service Establishments means a Class III and IV food service establishment as defined by section 19-13-B42 of the State of Connecticut Public Health Code or any other facility discharging fats, oil, and grease above the effluent limits in Section 5(c)(1)and (2) of this general permit such as, but not limited to, restaurants, hotel kitchens, hospital kitchens, school kitchens, bars, factory cafeterias, retail bakeries and clubs and food service establishments that are located in a problematic FOG area as defined in this permit.
Food Service Establishments means a fixed or mobile restaurant, coffee shop, cafeteria, short order café, luncheonette, grill, tearoom, sandwich shop, soda fountain, tavern, bar cocktail lounge, nightclub, drive-in, industrial feeding establishment, private organization serving the public, rental hall, catering kitchen, delicatessen, theater, commissary, or similar place in which food or drink is prepared for direct consumption through service on the premises or elsewhere, and any other eating or drinking establishment or operation where food is served or provided for the public. Food service establishment does not include:
Food Service Establishments means any non-domestic establishment that prepares and/or serves meals, lunches, short orders, sandwiches, frozen desserts, or other edible products and/or is required to have a Food Business Permit issued by King County Department of Health. This term includes: restaurants, cafeterias, short order cafes, luncheonettes, taverns, lunchrooms, places which manufacture retail sandwiches, soda fountains, institutional cafeterias, catering and home based food establishments, food vending vehicles, and operations connected therewith; and similar facilities by whatever name called.

Examples of Food Service Establishments in a sentence

  • No person shall discharge, or cause to be discharged any wastewater from Food Service Establishments directly or indirectly into the sewer system without first obtaining a FOG Wastewater Discharge Permit pursuant to these Regulations.

  • Fixtures, equipment, and drain lines located in the food preparation and clean up areas of Food Service Establishments that are sources of FOG discharges shall be connected to the grease interceptor.

  • All Food Service Establishments shall implement the following Best Management Practices (BMPs) to minimize the discharge of FOG to the sewer system.

  • In Food Service Establishments required by a state or local agency to install a three-basin sink, the Sewer Commission requires the installation of a grease trap in compliance with the Massachusetts Uniform State Plumbing Code 248CMR 10:08.

  • All new or remodeled Food Service Establishments, or those experiencing a change of ownership, may need to have installed an appropriate type and size grease trap and / or interceptor based on the following guidelines and subject to prior approval by the Sewer Commission and the Plumbing Inspector for the Town of Lunenburg.

Food Service Establishments means any Building used for processing, preparing, or serving food or beverages for consumption by the public, including, but not limited to, restaurants, commercial kitchens, cafeterias, hotels, school kitchens, hospitals, prisons, correctional facilities and care institutions. These establishments use one or more of the following preparation activities: cooking by frying (all methods), baking (all methods), grilling, sautéing, rotisserie cooking, broiling (all methods), boiling, blanching, roasting, toasting, or poaching. Also included are infrared heating, searing, barbecuing, and any other food preparation activity that produces a hot, non-drinkable food product in or on a receptacle that requires washing.
Food Service Establishments means a fixed or mobile restaurant, coffee shop, cafeteria, short order café, luncheonette, grill, tearoom, sandwich shop, soda fountain, tavern, bar cocktail lounge, nightclub, drive-in, industrial feeding establishment, private organization serving the public, rental hall, catering kitchen, delicatessen, theater, commissary, or similar place in which food or drink is prepared for direct consumption through service on the premises or elsewhere, and any other eating or drinking establishment or operation where food is served or provided for the public. Food service establishment does not include: i) a motel that serves continental breakfasts only; ii) a food concession; iii) a bed and breakfast that has 10 or fewer sleeping rooms, including sleeping rooms occupied by the innkeeper; iv) a bed and breakfast that has at least 11 but fewer than 15 rooms for rent, if the bed and breakfast serves continental breakfasts only; or v) a child care organization regulated by Michigan law unless the establishment is carrying out an operation considered by the State of Michigan to be a food service establishment.

These establishments include, but are not limited to, restaurants, bakeries, commercial kitchens, caterers, hotels, schools, religious institutions, hospitals, prisons, correctional facilities, and care institutions.
