Forgone Energy definition

Forgone Energy means any Forgone CIL Energy or any Forgone TC Energy;
Forgone Energy means, during any relevant period, a notional amount of Electricity (in MWh), that would have been Delivered by a Registered Facility as a result of there being available Renewable Fuel as such notional amount and such available Renewable Fuel is determined by the “forecasting entity” (as that term is used in the IESO Market Rules) or otherwise by the System Operator, excluding during, and to the extent of, an Outage of the Registered Facility (but only excluded in this determination to the extent where such notional amount of Electricity was already excluded from the determination of the amount of Electricity that would have been delivered), and that was not Delivered by the Registered Facility, and shall exclude (A) Non-Compliant Forgone Energy; and (B) Excluded Forgone Electricity, and provided that, for each discrete time interval, Forgone Energy shall not exceed the Contract Capacity multiplied by the appropriate time interval.

Examples of Forgone Energy in a sentence

  • The Generator acknowledges and agrees that the basis on which it calculates and reports Potential Capability to the AESO shall be consistent during Forgone Energy Settlement Intervals and non-Forgone Energy Settlement Intervals.

  • Notwithstanding anything else set forth herein, the Forgone Energy calculated hereunder shall not in any event include generation which is not generated and Delivered as a result of: facility outages or derates; transmission or connection outages which result in the Facility not being synchronized with the AIES; or the application of the supply surplus rules set forth in ISO Rule 202.5, the wind power management ramp up rules set forth in ISO Rule 304.3, or any RAS.

  • Forgone Energy will be defined to include the notional amount of renewable electricity that would have been generated and delivered by the facility when it is synchronized to the Alberta grid, but for the issuance of dispatch instructions or other directives from the AESO curtailing or limiting generation as a result of transmission constraints.

  • The availability of the facility will be taken into account in any Forgone Energy calculations, and, for greater certainty, the Generator will not be compensated pursuant to the curtailment provisions for lost generation relating to:  facility outages or de-rates;  transmission or connection outages which result in the facility not being synchronized with the Alberta grid; or  the application of the supply surplus rules when the supply of electricity available at zero dollar ($0) exceeds system load.

  • The Forgone Energy calculations will also take into account any over- generation on the part of the Generator as a result of failing to comply with the AESO's dispatch instructions or directives.

Related to Forgone Energy

  • SpinCo shall have the meaning set forth in the Preamble.

  • Comcast means Comcast Corporation, a Pennsylvania corporation.

  • Participating Company Group means, at any point in time, all corporations collectively which are then Participating Companies.

  • ITT means the Purchaser’s invitation to tender dated (date ITT issued).

  • AMC means Annual Maintenance Contract

  • Generating Company means any company or body corporate or association or body of individuals, whether incorporated or not, or artificial juridical person, which owns or operates or maintains a generating station;

  • Constellation has the meaning assigned to that term in the Recitals.

  • Dean means the head of a faculty of the University;

  • ITC (this Section2 of the RFP) means the Instructions to Consultants that provides the Consultants with all information needed to prepare their Proposals.

  • Participating Companies means any insurance company (including Insurance Company) that offers variable annuity and/or variable life insurance contracts to the public and that has entered into an agreement with one or more of the Funds.

  • mean high water springs or “MHWS” means the highest level which spring tides reach on average over a period of time;

  • Company has the meaning set forth in the Preamble.

  • Cendant means Cendant Corporation, a Delaware corporation.

  • Cloud Service Provider or CSP means a company or organization that offers some component of cloud computing – typically Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS) – to other businesses, organizations or individuals.

  • Operating Company has the meaning set forth in the preamble.

  • Native Hawaiian means any individual who is a descendant of the aboriginal people who, prior to 1778, occupied and exercised sovereignty in the area that now constitutes the State of Hawaii.

  • Newco has the meaning set forth in the first paragraph of this Agreement.

  • Pioneer or the "Company" means Pioneer Natural Resources Company and its subsidiaries.

  • Partnership Group means the Partnership and its Subsidiaries treated as a single consolidated entity.

  • CEI / “CEIG” shall mean Chief Electrical Inspector to the State Government.

  • SpinCo Entities means the entities, the equity, partnership, membership, limited liability, joint venture or similar interests of which are set forth on Schedule IV under the caption “Joint Ventures and Minority Investments.”

  • ATS means an alternative trading system, as defined in Rule 300(a)(1) of Regulation ATS under the Exchange Act.

  • Solar energy means the sun used as the sole source of energy for producing electricity.
