Franchised Collector definition

Franchised Collector means a person holding a license or franchise authorizing them to handle, transport and dispose of refuse.
Franchised Collector means the company given the exclusive or limited right, by a Franchise Agency, 2510 to Collect Solid Waste, Organic Materials, and/or Recyclable Materials within the physical jurisdiction of 2511 that agency. 2512 “Generator” means any Person whose act or process produces Solid Waste or Unpermitted Waste or 2513 other material that becomes part of the overall waste stream. 2514 “Goods or Services” means subcontracted Goods or Services used in providing Services, specifically 2515 labor, equipment, and supplies related to furnishing Services. 2516 “Governmental Fees” are federal, state or local fees or general or special taxes, including a business 2517 license tax, imposed on Solid Waste management and handling facilities, including the Landfill and any 2518 and all Approved Processing Facilities pursuant to this Agreement. Governmental Fees do not include 2519 any costs imposed upon or incurred by the Landfill or Approved Processing Facility(ies) in connection 2520 with a governmentally required repair, remediation and improvement of the subject facility, except to 2521 the extent that such requirement is the result of a Change in Law under this Agreement.
Franchised Collector means Allied Waste Systems, Inc. (doing business as Republic Services of Contra Costa 234 County) that entered into an exclusive Franchise agreement with the CCCSWA, entitled “Franchise Agreement 235 between Central Contra Costa County Solid Waste Authority and Allied Waste Systems, Inc. for Franchised 236 Materials Collection, Transport, Processing, Diversion, and Disposal Services,” dated May 2014.
