Fully Protected Transponder definition

Fully Protected Transponder means a satellite service or a transponder that may not be preempted to restore another service or transponder, and if restoration thereof is needed as a result of a satellite failure, or as a result of a transponder failure under circumstances in which no Protection Transponder is available on the satellite on which such satellite service or transponder is located, is entitled to restoration, subject to availability of facilities and to the conditions of the applicable contract, on another satellite.
