Health Professions Act definition

Health Professions Act. ’ means the Health Professions Act, 1974 (Act No. 56 of 1974);
Health Professions Act means the Health Professions Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. H-7;

Examples include, but are not limited to, a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), licensed practical nurse (LPN), medical doctor (MD), osteopathic physician (DO), respiratory therapist (RT), physical therapist (PT), physician assistant (PA), or occupational therapist (OT).

  • Health practitioner means a registered health practitioner registered or licensed as a health practitioner under an appropriate law of the State of Tasmania.

  • FAIS Act means the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (Act No. 37 of 2002);

  • Clean air standards, as used in this clause means:

  • WHS Act means the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) or the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2012 (NT), where applicable. WHS EPH means Workplace Health and Safety Entry Permit Holders under the WHS Act. Workplace Impairment Policy and Procedures means the Workplace Impairment Policy and Procedures found in APPENDIX 4.

  • Family and Medical Leave means a leave of absence for the birth, adoption or foster care of a child, or for the care of your child, spouse or parent or for your own serious health condition as those terms are defined by the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and any amendments, or by applicable state law.

  • regulated profession means a regulated profession as defined in Article 3(1)(a) of Directive 2005/36/EC.

  • Allied Health Professional means a person registered as an allied health professional with the Health Professions Council;
