Examples of Family and Medical Leave in a sentence
If the illness or disability is due to a serious health condition as defined by the Family and Medical Leave Act, leave shall be granted for less than two consecutive weeks.
A catastrophic illness or injury that poses a direct threat to life or to the vital function of major bodily systems or organs, and would cause the employee to take leave without pay or terminate employment, must be documented on a Family and Medical Leave Act Serious Health Condition Certification form.
Any employee who has worked for the Foundation for at least twelve (12) months, and has worked at least 1,250 hours during the previous 12-month period, is covered by the terms and conditions of the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”).
It is understood by both parties that the provisions of this Article are consistent with the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, 29 USC Section 2601 et seq.
The recipient’s entitlement to leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act will be reduced by donated leave that is used.
