Health Savings. If the cost of the HSA High Deductible plan is lower than the highest policy choice available, then District contribution for the balance will be split as follows:  Single Policy o 50% of the difference will be deposited in the employee’s HSA; o 50% of the difference will be retained by the District.  Family Policy o 60% of the difference will be deposited in the employee’s HSA; o 40% of the difference will be retained by the District In the event the policy cost is greater than the District contribution, no contribution will be made to the employee’s HSA.

Examples of Health Savings in a sentence

  • The Plan permits contributions to be made to a Health Savings Account on a pretax basis in accordance with Section X of the Plan and the following provisions: HSA Trustee – Bank of America Maximum Contribution – indexed annually by the IRS.

  • If elected by the Employer in Section F.8 of the Adoption Agreement, the Plan will permit pre-tax contributions to the Health Savings Account, and the provisions of this Article X shall apply.

  • Effective with the 2021-22 contract year, the Board will not process employee contributions into employees’ Health Savings Accounts on a pre-tax basis, unless the Board and the Association mutually agree otherwise.

  • Health Reimbursement Account: A Health Reimbursement Account (“HRA”) shall be made available for any nurse who is precluded from participating in a Health Savings Account (“HSA”) because the nurse receives Medicare and/or veterans’ benefits.

  • Limitation on Eligible Medical Expenses – For purposes of the Medical Reimbursement Plan, Eligible Medical Expenses of a Participant that is eligible for and elects to participate in a Health Savings Account shall be limited to expenses for: Dental and Vision Eligibility Requirements for Participation, if different than Item C.

  • Any employee contributions for the health care premiums shall be made through the district's Health Savings Account.

  • If the Employer has elected in Section F.8 of the Adoption Agreement both Health Savings Accounts under this Plan and the Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan, then the Eligible Medical Expenses that may be reimbursed under the Medical Reimbursement Plan for Participants who are eligible for and elect to participate in Health Savings Accounts shall be limited as set forth in Section F.8 of the Adoption Agreement.

Related to Health Savings

  • Health Savings Account means an account as permitted under section 223 of the internal revenue code of 1986, 26 USC 223.

  • Health Service means a Local Health District constituted under section 8 of the Health Services Act 1997, a Statutory Health Corporation constituted under section 11 of that Act, and an Affiliated Health Organisation constituted under section 13 of that Act.

  • Group health plan means an employee welfare benefit plan as defined in section 3(1) of subtitle A of title I of the employee retirement income security act of 1974, Public Law 93-406, 29 USC 1002, to the extent that the plan provides medical care, including items and services paid for as medical care to employees or their dependents as defined under the terms of the plan directly or through insurance, reimbursement, or otherwise.

  • Health care plan means any contract, policy or other arrangement for benefits or services for medical or dental care or treatment under:

  • Savings Plan or "plans" means a plan that provides different investment strategies and allows account distributions for qualified higher education expenses.

  • Health services means, but shall not be limited to, examination, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, pharmaceuticals, aftercare, habilitation or rehabilitation and mental health therapy of any kind, as well as payment or reimbursement for any such services.
