HOKU Membrane definition

HOKU Membrane means all Membrane and HOKU Liquid Membrane technology developed by HOKU at any time, whether or not patented by HOKU, including, without limitation, (i) all materials and processes used in the development and production of such Membrane and HOKU Liquid Membrane technologies; (ii) all solid polymer and Liquid Ionomer forms of such Membrane and HOKU Liquid Membrane technologies; and (iii) all formulations of such Membrane and HOKU Liquid Membrane technologies, including monomer and polymer formulations.
HOKU Membrane means all Membrane and HOKU Liquid Membrane technology developed by HOKU at any time, whether or not patented by HOKU, including, without limitation, (i) all materials and processes used in the development and production of such Membrane and HOKU Liquid Membrane technologies; (ii) all solid polymer and Liquid Ionomer forms of such Membrane and HOKU Liquid Membrane technologies; (iii) all formulations of such Membrane and HOKU Liquid Membrane technologies, including monomer and polymer formulations; and (iv) all reinforcements adjacent to such Membrane technologies and the process or processes used to apply the reinforcement material to the Membrane, regardless of the date of development or the source of development.

Examples of HOKU Membrane in a sentence

  • HOKU is developing HOKU Membrane and HOKU MEA (each as defined below) for use in proton exchange membrane fuel cells (“PEMFC”).

  • In providing the Automotive HOKU MEA, HOKU CCM, HOKU Membrane and HOKU GDL to NISSAN, this transfer of materials constitutes a limited non-exclusive license to NISSAN to test and evaluate the Automotive HOKU MEA, HOKU CCM, HOKU Membrane and HOKU GDL as set forth in this Agreement.

  • No rights are granted to NISSAN to use HOKU MEA or HOKU Membrane for purposes of sale, consultation, provision of services, or any other commercial purposes under this Agreement.

  • NISSAN, as recipient of HOKU Membrane and HOKU MEA, does not acquire any right, title or interest in HOKU Membrane or HOKU MEA extending beyond the limited grant in Section 3.3.1 above.

  • NISSAN may submit written purchase orders for the unit volume per each type of unit of Automotive HOKU MEA and HOKU Membrane that is listed in the column labeled “Unit Description” on Exhibit A, and HOKU shall produce the quantity of Automotive HOKU MEA and HOKU Membrane specified on the NISSAN purchase order.

  • In providing the HOKU MEA and HOKU Membrane to NISSAN, this transfer of materials constitutes a limited non-exclusive license to NISSAN to test and evaluate the HOKU MEA and HOKU Membrane as set forth in this Agreement.

  • HOKU and NISSAN are parties to that certain MEA Engineering Agreement dated as of September 1, 2004 (the “Engineering Agreement”) and that certain Membrane & MEA Purchase Agreement dated as of September 1, 2004 (the “Purchase Agreement”), pursuant to which HOKU optimized Automotive HOKU MEA and the Automotive HOKU MEA Assembly Process to meet NISSAN’s Step 1 Goals (as defined in the Engineering Agreement), and NISSAN purchased HOKU Membrane and HOKU MEA for test and evaluation.

  • HOKU has no obligation to grant a license to NISSAN, and HOKU may grant exclusive or nonexclusive licenses to others who may be purchasing, investigating, testing, evaluating or using HOKU MEA and HOKU Membrane.

  • Unless otherwise specified in accordance with Section 3.3 below, all Automotive HOKU MEA and HOKU Membrane produced pursuant to Section 3 above shall be delivered to the HOKU Facility for evaluation at the HOKU Facility to assess the progress towards meeting the Step 1 Goals pursuant to the Engineering Agreement.

  • Aerosol coating product means a pressurized coating product containing pigments or resins that dispenses product ingredients by means of a propellant, and is packaged in a disposable can for hand-held application, or for use in specialized equipment for ground traffic/marking applications.

  • Reagent means any product other than fuel that is stored on-board the vehicle and is provided to the exhaust after-treatment system upon request of the emission control system.

  • Corrosion inhibitor means a substance capable of reducing the corrosivity of water toward metal plumbing materials, especially lead and copper, by forming a protective film on the interior surface of those materials.

  • Bulk gasoline plant means a gasoline storage and distribution facility with an average daily throughput of 20,000 gallons (76,000 liters) of gasoline or less on a 30-day rolling average.

  • Fabrication means making up data or results and recording or reporting them.

  • Membrane filtration means a pressure or vacuum driven separation process in which particulate matter larger than one micrometer is rejected by an engineered barrier, primarily through a size exclusion mechanism, and which has a measurable removal efficiency of a target organism that can be verified through the application of a direct integrity test. This definition includes the common membrane technologies of microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis.

  • Sensor means any measurement device that is not part of the vehicle itself but installed to determine parameters other than the concentration of gaseous and particle pollutants and the exhaust mass flow.

  • Biomass means the biodegradable fraction of products, waste and residues from biological origin from agriculture (including vegetal and animal substances), forestry and related industries including fisheries and aquaculture, as well as the biodegradable fraction of industrial and municipal waste;

  • Open-Source Components means any software component that is subject to any open-source copyright license agreement, including any GNU General Public License or GNU Library or Lesser Public License, or other obligation, restriction or license agreement that substantially conforms to the Open Source Definition as prescribed by the Open Source Initiative or otherwise may require disclosure or licensing to any third party of any source code with which such software component is used or compiled.

  • Strain means the classification of marijuana or cannabis plants in either pure sativa, indica, afghanica, ruderalis, or hybrid varieties.

  • Drug Substance means an active ingredient that is intended to furnish pharmacological activity or other direct effect in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease or to affect the structure or any function of the human body, but does not include intermediates used in the synthesis of such ingredient.

  • Polystyrene foam adhesive means an aerosol adhesive designed to bond polystyrene foam to substrates.
