Independent Evaluation Arrangement definition

Independent Evaluation Arrangement or “IEA” means the functionally and operationally independent service advising the System Council, providing accountability, contributing to learning and supporting decision-making through the conduct of independent, external evaluations in order to provide the CGIAR System with objective, contemporary and cost-effective information on the overall performance of CGIAR Research and the functions and structures of the CGIAR System. The IEA is functionally independent from the System Organization and the organization hosting the IEA Secretariat.
