Informed and Shared Decision Making means the process by which a physician discusses, in the context of the use of complementary, alternative, and/or regenerative therapies, the risks and benefits of such treatment with the patient. The patient is given an opportunity to express preferences and values before collaboratively evaluating and arriving at treatment decisions.
