Interchange Schedule definition

Interchange Schedule means an agreed-upon Interchange Transaction size (megawatts), start and end time, beginning and ending ramp times and rate, and type required for delivery and receipt of power and energy between the Source and Sink Balancing Authorities involved in the transaction.**

  • Adjacent Balancing Authority Areas shall operate to a common Net Interchange Schedule and Actual Net Interchange value and shall record these hourly quantities, with like values but opposite sign.

  • For Existing Rights that permit Interchange Schedule changes after the Market Close of the Day-Ahead Market, the CAISO will reserve transmission capacity equal to the unscheduled ETC amount of transmission capacity for that Scheduling Point.

  • For Existing Rights that permit Interchange Schedule changes over Scheduling Points with other Balancing Authority Areas, the CAISO will reserve transmission capacity equal to the Existing Rights transmission capacity and make a corresponding adjustment in its determination of ATC.

  • This is an optional step in creating an Interchange Schedule since ExSchedule has the capability to reserve ramp on the participant’s behalf when the Tag is validated against PJM’s business rules.

  • PJM has developed the ExSchedule application in order to facilitate the utilization of Tags as a primary source of Interchange Schedule data.

  • In cases where the Tag does not have the required fields to request a PJM market-specific transaction (e.g. Dispatchable Interchange Schedule, Day-ahead Bid, etc.) the ExSchedule application must be used in concert with the Tag (see “Dispatchable Interchange Schedules” and “Day-ahead Bids” sections).

  • The CAISO may test the Non-Spinning Reserve capability of a resource that is not Curtailable Demand by issuing unannounced Dispatch Instructions requiring the resource to come on line and ramp up or, in the case of a Proxy Demand Resource, to reduce Demand, or, in the case of a System Resource, to affirmatively respond to Real-Time Interchange Schedule adjustment; all in accordance with the Scheduling Coordinator’s Bid.

  • Interchange means the electronic exchange of Data between the Parties using the Adopted Protocol;
