Interconnection costs definition

Interconnection costs means the reasonable costs of connection, switching, metering, transmission, distribution, safety provisions and administrative costs incurred by the electric utility directly related to the installation and maintenance of the physical facilities necessary to permit interconnected operations with qualifying facilities and AEP facilities, to the extent the costs are in excess of the corresponding costs which the electric utility would have incurred if it had not engaged in interconnected operations, but instead generated an equivalent amount of electric energy itself or purchased an equivalent amount of electric energy or capacity from other sources. Interconnection costs do not include any costs included in the calculation of avoided costs.
Interconnection costs means all costs paid or incurred by Seller pursuant to the Interconnection Agreement for the Connecting Transmission Owner’s Attachment Facilities, the System Upgrade Facilities and the System Deliverability Upgrades on the Connecting Transmission Owner’s Electric System, documented by Seller, including any costs Buyer has directed Seller to incur as a consequence of any written election of Buyer pursuant to Section 4.5.
Interconnection costs has the meaning set forth in Section 3.4(a).

Examples of Interconnection costs in a sentence

  • For a termination arising from an Event of Default by Xxxx Electric, Xxxx Electric shall be liable for a Termination Payment equal to the amount of any refund due to Seller for overpayment of Interconnection Costs.

  • For a termination arising from an Event of Default by EKPC, EKPC shall be liable for a Termination Payment equal to the sum of: (A) the amount of all unpaid billing statements for power delivered by Seller; and (B) any refund due to Seller for overpayment of Interconnection Costs.

  • To the extent that the Initial Payment exceeds the actual Interconnection Costs accrued up to the date of the Initial Interconnection (an "Overpayment"), the EDC shall refund to the Generator an amount equal to the Overpayment within thirty (30) days of the provision of such final accounting report.

  • EKPC’s and Xxxx Electric’s recovery of Interconnection Costs shall be governed exclusively by the terms of this Section 3.01 and not by the terms of the Interconnection Manual.

  • To the extent that the actual Interconnection Costs accrued up to the date of the Initial Interconnection exceed the Initial Payment (an "Underpayment"), the EDC shall invoice the Generator for an amount equal to the Underpayment and the Generator shall pay such amount to the EDC within thirty (30) days of such invoice.
