Investigative Panel definition

Investigative Panel means the panel of three rotating Honor Committee members that reviews the findings of the investigation and decides whether or not to formally accuse an investigated student of an Honor Offense, as more particularly described in Section IV.C of these by-laws. As used in these by-laws, the term “Investigative Panel” may also refer to the deliberations of the Investigative Panel.
Investigative Panel or “I-Panel” shall mean the panel of three rotating Honor Committee members that reviews the findings of the investigation and decides whether or not to formally accuse an investigated student of an Honor Offense, as more particularly described in Section IV.C of these Bylaws. As used in these Bylaws, the term
Investigative Panel means a division of the Commission vested with the jurisdiction to receive or initiate complaints, conduct investigations, dismiss complaints, and, upon a vote of a simple majority of the panel, submit formal charges to the hearing panel. The chair of the Commission shall be its chair.

Examples of Investigative Panel in a sentence

  • The Investigative Panel shall accuse the investigated student if it is “more likely than not” that the investigated student committed an Honor Offense.

  • If the CR has not been certified as complete, the Investigative Panel will not reach the issue of validity and the uncertified CR will not by itself be an exonerating defense to the Honor Offense alleged in the Report.

  • The Investigative Panel generally convenes within one week of the completion of the investigation, unless the Vice Chair for Investigations determines that circumstances exist which warrant a delay.

  • Statements by the investigated student, the reporting witness and other witnesses, together with other relevant evidence, are collected in the Investigative Log; neither the investigated student nor other witnesses attend the Investigative Panel.

  • In such cases, the Investigative Panel will not reach the issue of validity and the uncertified CR will not by itself be an exonerating defense to the Honor Offense alleged in the Report.

  • The SCPS Investigative Assessment Panel consists of three Committee members and functions like an Investigative Panel to decide whether or not to accuse the SCPS Student.

More Definitions of Investigative Panel

Investigative Panel means the panel of the Commission that is responsible for the investigative, prosecutorial, and administrative functions of the commission; investigation of alleged conduct constituting grounds for discipline under subsection (h) of Code section 15-8-32; the selection of an individual to serve as the director of the commission; and authorization of employment of such additional staff as the commission deems necessary to carry out the powers assigned to the commission. This panel determines whether full investigations will be conducted and whether formal charges will be filed. See Rule 2.3; O.C.G.A. § 15-18-31 (c) (2).
Investigative Panel means the three-member panel of the Board designated to determine whether a formal complaint will be filed.
Investigative Panel means those holding the positions of Director of Human Resources and General Manager plus a Harassment Advisor of their choosing. They are responsible for determining if a complaint has the validity to be investigated; conducting both informal or formal resolution processes, as applicable; conducting investigations; determining if interim sanctions are necessary and, if so, what those will be; and making recommendations for final decisions, sanctions and remedies to the Decision-Making Body.

  • Investigative information means information, records, and documents received or generated by a physical therapy licensing board pursuant to an investigation.

  • Current significant investigative information means investigative information that a licensing board, after an inquiry or investigation that includes notification and an opportunity for the audiologist or speech-language pathologist to respond, if required by state law, has reason to believe is not groundless and, if proved true, would indicate more than a minor infraction.

  • Investigative consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information about a natural person's character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with the person's neighbors, friends, associates, acquaintances, or others who may have knowledge concerning such items of information.

  • Investigating Officer means the person appointed by the Monitoring Officer to undertake a formal investigation of a complaint alleging a breach of the Code of Conduct by a Subject Member. The Investigating Officer may be another senior officer of the Borough Council, an officer of another authority or an external investigator.

  • Background investigation means the investigation conducted by a licensee or applicant to support the determination of trustworthiness and reliability.

  • Deposition means the testimony of a person pursuant to subpoena or at the request of the state of Iowa taken in a setting other than a hearing.

  • Administrative Action has the meaning set forth in paragraph 4(a) of Annex I.

  • Hearing means an oral hearing and includes a hearing conducted in whole or in part by video link, telephone or other means of instantaneous two-way electronic communication;

  • Investigation Committee means the Investigation Committee appointed by the Board under Regulation 5 of these Regulations;

  • Investigation means the Bureau’s decision to hold and not process the Company’s license renewal applications identified in Appendix A due to the Company’s inability to certify compliance with its public file obligations.

  • Administrative Review means any decision making process of the director requested by a party aggrieved with an action taken under these rules except the hearing process described in OAR 436-001.

  • Administrative proceeding means a non-judicial process that is adjudicatory in nature in order to make a determination of fault or liability (e.g., Securities and Exchange Commission Administrative Proceedings, Civilian Board of Contract Appeals Proceedings, and Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals Proceedings). This includes administrative proceedings at the Federal and State level but only in connection with performance of a Federal contract or grant. It does not include agency actions such as contract audits, site visits, corrective plans, or inspection of deliverables.

  • Investigating Committee means any Officer/Committee appointed by Competent Authority to conduct investigation.

  • Final administrative decision means a decision by an agency

  • adjudicating officer means the adjudicating officer appointed under sub-section (1) of section 71;

  • Appellate Decision-maker means a person who considers and decides appeals of determinations regarding responsibility and dismissals of formal complaints. The Appellate Decision-maker cannot be the same person as the Title IX Coordinator, Investigator, or Decision-maker. The Appellate Decision-maker may be a school district employee, or a third party designated by the school district.

  • Expert is defined in Section 7.9 of this Agreement.

  • Inquiry means information gathering and initial fact finding to determine whether an allegation or apparent instance of misconduct warrants an investigation.

  • Experts means, collectively, Key Experts, Non-Key Experts, or any other personnel of the Consultant, Sub-consultant or Joint Venture member(s).

  • Remedial investigation means a process to determine the nature and extent of a discharge of a contaminant at a site or a discharge of a contaminant that has migrated or is migrating from the site and the problems presented by a discharge, and may include data collected, site characterization, sampling, monitoring, and the gathering of any other sufficient and relevant information necessary to determine the necessity for remedial action and to support the evaluation of remedial actions if necessary;

  • EXPERIMENTAL OR INVESTIGATIONAL means any healthcare service that has progressed to limited human application, but has not been recognized as proven and effective in clinical medicine. See Experimental or Investigational Services in Section 3 for a more detailed description of the type of healthcare services we consider experimental or investigational.

  • Hearing Panel means a panel responsible for adjudicating disciplinary cases pursuant to a Notice of Charges authorized by a Review Panel.
