IOSCO MMoU definition

IOSCO MMoU means the multilateral memorandum of understanding concerning consultation and cooperation and the exchange of information established by the International Organization of Securities Commissions to which the SEC and the SFC are both signatories.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, confidentiality and disclosure of information provided or exchanged by the Authorities pursuant to the IOSCO MMoU will be subject to the corresponding terms and conditions in the IOSCO MMoU.

  • In cases where an Authority seeks to use non-public information obtained under this MoU for Enforcement Purposes, a request will be made pursuant to the IOSCO MMoU and any use of any such non-public information for Enforcement Purposes will be governed by the terms and conditions of the IOSCO MMoU.
