Itinerant Teachers: A certified EMPLOYEE who is assigned to more than one school.
For the purposes of this benefit, Itinerant Teachers shall be defined as those teachers whose duties require daily travel to two or more locations to provide services to students and/or student populations and requires accessibility to a phone between locations.

In accordance with Article 19, Section T, of the Broward Teacher’s Union-Educational Professionals (BTU- EP) Collective Bargaining Agreement, Itinerant Teachers shall be compensated for using his/her personal cellular phone for official School Board business or may elect to continue using an unrestricted cellular phone issued by the District.
Exception: Itinerant Teachers are not subject to this requirement.
Itinerant Teachers shall be provided with appropriate work space to include a desk, chair and testing tables; a computer; a locking file cabinet with a key; direct access to working copiers, printers and telephones for follow up calls; testing environments that are heated and well ventilated; and necessary supplies, including file folders, paper clips and envelopes to store professional protocols.
The Principal shall provide Itinerant Teachers access to a designated space within the school building that is confidential and private for the provision of therapeutic services and testing to students.
The areas covered by this will be Report Cards, IEP’s, Itinerant Teachers, EQAO, Board- Initiated Assessment Instruments (DRA), Curriculum, Meetings with Parents, Cooperative Placements, Resources, Superintendent’s Discretionary Fund, Commencement of Instructional Day, and Educational Assistants in respect to Supervision.
