JOBS Plus program definition

JOBS Plus program means an activity in the paid subsidized employment component that provides TANF participants with employment. The participant receives their TANF and SNAP benefits as wages from the JOBS Plus employer (see OAR 461-190-0401 to 461-190-0426).¶
JOBS Plus program means an activity in the paid subsidized employment component that provides an incentive to TANF participants and employers through subsidized employment in the public or private sector where the participant is placed on the employer's payroll and TANF and SNAP benefits are on holdwith employment. The participant receives their TANF and SNAP benefits as wages from the JOBS Plus employer (see OAR 461-190-0401 to 461-190-0426).¶

Examples of JOBS Plus program in a sentence

  • When used alone, JOBS Plus includes only clients whose JOBS Plus program participation is through the Department of Human Services.

  • In the ERDC and TANF programs, the total payable hours of care in a month may not exceed the amounts in paragraphs (A) or (B) of this subsection:(A) 125 percent of the number of child care hours authorized: (i) Under OAR 461-160-0040(2) and (5); or(ii) To participate in activities included in a case plan (see OAR 461- 001-0025) including, for clients in the JOBS Plus program, the time the client searches for unsubsidized employment and for which the employer pays the client.

  • Participation of Employers: 461-190-0411 Employers must maintain comparable levels of health, safety and working conditions for JOBS Plus participants; provide on-the-job training sufficient to allow the participant to perform their duties; provide a mentor to orient the JOBS Plus participant to help the participant be successful in the workplace; and repay reimbursements if they violate any JOBS Plus program rules.

  • A client whose TANF cash benefits are being paid as wages through the JOBS Plus program.

  • A Department client who is placed in the Work Experience or JOBS Plus program at a Department site.

More Definitions of JOBS Plus program

JOBS Plus program means the jobs-plus initiative described in number 244 of volume 61 of the federal register or a similar program for providing the following services to assist residents of public housing operated by the New York city housing authority with obtaining and retaining employment: (i) job search assistance; (ii) education programs; (iii) vocational training; (iv) child care, transportation and other support services; and (v) subject to the cooperation of the United States department of housing and urban development and the New York city housing authority, a reasonable rent policy designed to encourage employment and self-sufficiency for participating residents, such as by excluding all or a portion of such resident’s earned or newly earned income for purposes of determining rent.

  • Educational program means a program for educating and preparing physician assistants which is approved by the board.

  • Alternative education program means a school or separate class group designed to best serve students’ educational needs and interests and assist students in achieving the academic standards of the district and the state.

  • Alternative program means a non-disciplinary monitoring or practice remediation process approved by a physical therapy licensing board. This includes, but is not limited to, substance abuse issues.

  • Program means the statutorily authorized activities of the System Agency under which this Contract has been awarded.

  • Program Plan means the tobacco settlement program plan dated February 14, 2001, including exhibits to the program plan, submitted by the authority to the legislative council and the executive council, to provide the state with a secure and stable source of funding for the purposes designated by section 12E.3A and other provisions of this chapter.
